Using as External Boot Drive for iMac

Instead of dealing with removing the screen to replace the internal HD, I’m using this and it works flawlessly.

To be fair I got it to replace one that died. I have several I use for work and my personal use. WD stood by their warranty and shipped me a new one to replace the one that died. I was not even aware it was still under warranty.

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.As far as the product itself, it was easy to use and performance was great however on my 14" MacBook Pro the drive only achieves about 1100 MB/S max. From what I reading online this could be an Apple issue or the drive itself. As such when I need to get a 2nd one I end up just buying the standard Extreme. I test both on different ports. I was getting the same speed on both drives.

Perfect for djs

It will put up with lots of abuse. I use mine to hold my music for djing. So it gets move and banged on all the time. Would buy again!

Sandisk SSD is a slick backup drive

I was able to format it quickly for my Apple AirBook needs. Came with a nice c-c cable for use in a pinch, but often will use a longer Cable Matters cable.
