    Bought this to use as an boot drive for a 2016 iMac with a very slow hard drive inside. Instead of dealing with removing the screen to replace the internal HD, I’m using this and it works flawlessly.

    As far as the product itself, it was easy to use and performance was great however on my 14" MacBook Pro the drive only achieves about 1100 MB/S max. From what I reading online this could be an Apple issue or the drive itself. As such when I need to get a 2nd one I end up just buying the standard Extreme. I test both on different ports. I was getting the same speed on both drives.

    This SSD Drive had the features I needed (capacity, physical size , usb-c interface and speed). I was able to format it quickly for my Apple AirBook needs. Came with a nice c-c cable for use in a pinch, but often will use a longer Cable Matters cable.

    Bought it to back up my photos off of my iphone but when downloading or tranfering photos in bulk it tends to crash a lot!! The speed is there but annyoing when you have to start the tranfer multiple time!!
