This Sandisk writes very fast. But it not 2 TB, only 1.81 TB

The first one that I purchased went bad and I returned it. The replacement seems to be fine so far. I am still skittish using this. I immediately transfer files from it just to be safe.

From the moment I plugged it in, I was impressed by the speed and overall performance. Speed is King: This thing is FAST. Transferring large RAW photo and 4K video files is incredibly quick compared to my older portable drives. The NVMe technology really makes a difference. I'm seeing sustained read and write speeds that are perfect for working directly off the drive in editing software. No more waiting around for files to load or render! Rugged and Ready for Anything: The "Extreme Pro" name isn't just marketing hype. This drive feels incredibly solid and well-built. The rubberized coating gives it a nice grip and makes me feel confident taking it on location without worrying too much about bumps or knocks. While I haven't intentionally abused it, it definitely feels like it can handle the rigors of being tossed in a bag and taken on the go. Portable Powerhouse: Despite the ruggedness and speed, it's still incredibly compact and lightweight. It easily fits in my pocket or camera bag. The included USB-C cable is convenient, and the compatibility with USB-C and USB-A (with an adapter, not included) is great for connecting to all sorts of devices. 2TB of Reliable Storage: Having 2TB of fast storage in this small of a package is a game-changer. I can carry entire projects with me without needing to worry about running out of space. SanDisk is a brand I trust for reliability, and this drive feels like it will last. Minor Nitpicks (but not dealbreakers): If I had to be picky, the included USB-C cable is a little short for desktop use, but easily replaceable. Also, it can get a little warm during very heavy sustained transfers, but it's never been alarmingly hot and performance hasn't been affected. Overall: If you need a portable SSD that prioritizes speed, ruggedness, and reliability for demanding tasks like photo/video editing, content creation, or just moving large files quickly, the SanDisk Extreme Pro Portable 2TB is an outstanding choice. It's a bit of an investment, but the performance and peace of mind are absolutely worth it. Highly recommended! DO NOT BUY IF YOU HAVE A MAC. You will NOT get advertised speed. It gets even worse if you update to Ventura. I'm am currently getting speed of less than 500mb's write and 650 read. A lot less then 2,000 mbs advertised speed

I upgraded my external hard drive. I was taken aback on how fast the transfer speed was in comparison to my old external drive. This little thing is much more compact. Slimline and lightweight in addition the speeds are much faster in transferring and accessing my files.

It's amazing to me we can put 2TB in such a small package. This is compact, small, and attractive. It stores a lot of data easily and quickly. I have found SanDisk to be reliable. If you own a pc in 2025, external storage is required.

The SanDisk Extreme Pro 2TB has been a solid external drive for handling video and photo projects. I love this external hard drive no matter what I take it everywhere they can go through airport so you can go through where and tear and it it always works. Nothing goes wrong with it. It is a S. State Dr. it always works. Definitely makes my life easier and less bulky 100% percent buy!

It's very light and smaller than I expected. Very fast speeds and powerful. I bought the Extreme Pro 2TB, but the Extreme 2TB was fast enough for my needs. Using it to run Ubuntu on it. Just keep in mind it may only last for about a year and you'll need to think about backing up and restoring your data before that happens. But so far it's working great. Highly recommended.
