I want to start by saying that the concept behind this charger was brilliant. Having a device that backs up your device and charges it is very handy. The charger itself has been problematic and isn’t very strong. It struggles to charge to even through very thin cases. I had to remove the case on all three devices that I used. Once the cases were removed, the charger performed very well. I didn’t need to remove the cases with other chargers that I own. If they can increase the power on the charging pad, this will be a top product.

The main reason I purchased the wireless pad is to not have to keep plugging up smart phone back and forth to charge. Sandisk is ahead of the pack with backup and storage capability.

The fast charging feature works immediately out of the box, just plug and go. I put my Google pixel 3 on at 50% and it took a couple hours to fully charge, not really fast but faster than some. The initial setup to backup the phone required wifi, which was not a smooth procedure. However after setting up the app, backing up the phone became as effortless as cloud storage. It serves its purpose as an overnight charger.

It's a really convenient way to charge my phone and to back up my photos, but it's not always been easy to keep the phone in the charging position. Some evenings, I'll hear the phone engage, go to bed, and wake up and the phone will have disengaged and not fully charged. I don't think that this is a unique problem to this brand, my husband has similar issues with his android and a charging pad from a different company, but it is something to be aware of. The photo transfers are effortless. I'd conditionally recommend this to friends because it certainly is convenient.

I found the iXpand charger to be just what I needed! I live in the country and my internet speed is not that great. My cell phone data is really fast as I have a cell booster mounted on a tower. The whole point of this is that I do not have my cell phone connected to my house wifi. Unfortunately, it will not back up to the cloud unless it is on wifi! Ugh! Every two weeks my phone reminds me that it hasn't back up. This little gem solves my problem neatly! I just lay my phone on the charger and it not only charges, it also backs up my phone info! This really eases my mind as I often has pics and documents that I need to refer back to. I still get the message every two weeks to back up my phone to the could, but it causes me a lot less anxiety!

I thought this was a nice idea. Wireless charger and photo back up all in one. I don’t like that you have to agree to all these terms and conditions to be able to use it for storage. The more and more I thought about it, I don’t another device storing my pictures. I use an iPhone and I just rather have a phone that has more storage than uploading my pictures to this and having to transfer them to a computer after. It seems cumbersome to upload to this than still upload to a computer. Just take it from your phone directly to a computer. The charger part of this is decent. A little big for my liking and just looks out place on my counter. It’s also has weight to it. This was a good concept at first glance but I rather not have to agree to my privacy could be compromised and they wouldn’t be at fault.
