    The SanDisk iXpand USB 2.0/Lightning Flash Drive allows you to move files and photos quickly back and forth between IOS devices with lightning connectors and computers with USB 2.0 connectivity. A free app (I've downloaded it to my iPhone 6 and my iPad Air 2) guides you through the necessary steps. I used the iXpand drive to remove hundred of photos from my portable devices and store them on my Mac.

    I really did not need more storage space. My iPhone has 64g and my iPad 128g. But, the ixpand made transferring photos, movies, and files between my mobile device and my laptop easy. It is a little pricey but worth it.. Love it. I wish I bought the 34g instead of the 16g but it still workable.

    I purchased this to connect to my iPhone 5S to keep a backup for my pictures. I had a lot of issues getting it to work in the beginning but was able to finally get it set up and working with the help of the support number for the product, now works easy and well.

    The product description did not provide clear specification on what iExpand can do. After getting it and reading the manuals more carefully, it seems to only be able to handle image and video files. I heard that there are apps that can help expand the capability, but too troublesome. So iExpand is not very useful for me (e.g., for storing and retrieving .ppt and .doc files).
