In my mobile business I have to refer to lots of technical diagrams and other information; this lets me use my iPad Mini to view all that stuff so I don't need to carry my laptop everywhere or max out my iPad's memory, so I still have lots of RAM to use for other stuff when I'm not working. It's small, easy to use and it's been reliable so far. I'm pretty happy with it!

Needed to store info directly off of my cell phone, this is exactly what the SanDisk - iXpand 32GB USB 2.0/Lightning Flash Drive - Silver/Black does. Wish they had a 64 bit or higher one, but 32 was good for now. Also wish it was a little less money........

I found this drive to be excellent for recovering much needed space on my iphone which is only 16 GB. I love the fact that the drive has a secure vault area that you can hold special data you want to access anytime.

I bought it to back up my iphone contacts, as well as the photos and the videos. Now I have added other videos to the SanDisk and play them on the TV by simply inserting it into the TV. The only downside, it is a little on the slow side when backing up the phone. But worth the wait.

This flash drive is a life saver and made the uploading of pictures and videos from my phone a breeze. Around 1800+ pictures and 50 videos were uploaded within the time span of less then 30 minutes and it was as easy as I can ever remember using a flash drive. What's awesome is that this drive plugs in directly to your iPhone 5S or 6 without any additional hardware. You will need to download the app to use and afterwards once all the pictures and video are stored on the drive you can leave it there or transfer to your computer .. Loved this drive and worth every penny.

When I saw this item from SanDisc I thought this was the answer to my problems of running out of space on my iPhone when taking pictures. It works better on the iPad and for some reason I can only get it to work once on the iPhone. Basically, if I take off 10 pictures and need to go back and take off another ten, it won't work again. If they could fix that issue I would use it more. As soon as you plug in the lightning connector it downloads the app to your device. From there it's pretty easy to figure out how to copy your images. I figured that it would move the images but only copied which means you then have to delete what is on your device to open the space and that takes times. Plus you better remember what you copied so you don't delete something you really wanted to save. To clean off the memory stick you just have to plug it into a USB port and take off the images like you do with any transfer. With the two connections it is a great idea and if I can get it to work properly with the iphone it will be a nice thing to have. As with all these items you just have to have faith in them. If I'm transferring from my iphone or whatever I can see what is on the SanDisc and hope that I have no issues with it. It's not a very big item so you also have to make sure you don't lose it. All that said, I could live without it but now that I've spent the money I know I have a backup if needed.

Got this hoping to find a quick and efficient way to move all the pics and videos that had eaten up all the storage on my phone. It was all that and a lot more. Very easy to use. Very compact and self contained. No extra wiring, cords, batteries, etc. only concern would be misplacing/losing it! Access to stored info from phone or laptop/pc is very simple. Highly recommend this to anyone looking for mobile storage for their phones as well as other systems. Better than a standard flash drive. And def (i)phone friendly.

This SanDisk is great to backup all your photos, videos, and contacts. The software is straight forward and easy to use. You can also encrypt your files when you transfer in an out of the stick. The only minor gripe I have is that the stick needs to be charged up to use. I guess this was to save battery on iPhone/iPad so it would not draw power from that.

With a Lightning connector on one end and a USB connector on the other, this portable, pocket-size flash drive provides a simple way to move photos, videos, music, and files between your iPhone, iPad, PCs and Mac computers. What I love about this flash drive is it frees you from iTunes! Copy photos or videos to this drive using any computer to access from your iPhone or iPad later. There were so many instances that I had to copy pictures to another flash drive, took it home and transfer to my iPad via iTunes. Yes, you have to add another app to your iPhone or iPad but it's well worth it. The iXpand actually does two things really well. You can set it to automatically back up all your pictures as soon as you plug it in, and that works great. You can also play back videos in formats that your iOS device wouldn't normally support, so that could be a worthy use case.

I bought this because my iPhone memory tends to fill up fairly quickly, especially when I am traveling and taking a lot of pictures. It works just as advertised! This is quite useful for quickly taking off pictures from your photo album and storing them safely, especially when you do not have access to a laptop to sync your phone to. It will store your media files (pictures/videos/music) that you transferred from your IPhone using the lightning cable side and then you can move it to your computer using the USB side. You can also use it to store movie files and play them on your phone/iPad without having to store them on the internal memory.

There's been allot of people waiting for a back up drive that works with iPhone and iPad. The Ixpand fills that need. With 32GB of space I'm able to add movies and pictures to it and access them without clogging up space on my device, and I can move it between devices as long as I have the free app installed. Minor issues of movies crashing if you try to fast forward, pause, or rewind. Hopefully this can be corrected via app updates. Hopefully we will see prices come down. I find it a little expensive for the capacity they offer.

This is s great device for backing up photos and videos from my iPhone. (A lightning connection is required.) A free app had to be downloaded first for the device to properly work. The app automatically opens when the iXpand is plugged in. Using it is fairly straight forward and easy to figure out. Downloading a lot of files at once takes a very long time, so I recommend backing up pictures periodically. (Files can be created right from your iPhone.) Use the usb connection for transferring/viewing on your PC just like a regular usb flash drive.

This Sandisk back-up flash drive is an excellent way to back-up / transfer files, photos, etc.. It works with all new Apple products (I-phones, I-pads, I-pad minis, etc. Easy to connect & use. Photo transfer speed could be a little faster.

I carry my I expand everywhere with my iPhone. The I expand app works well and I have been able to free up a lot of storage space. It fits easily in my coin pocket in my Levi's.

Works well transferring files from your iMac/macbook to iPad/mini. Easy to use. Quick and efficient. Not crazy about the design, cable to the lightning connector doesn't allow for a "proper docking," plus I wonder about it's longevity. Nonetheless, gets the job done! (And yes, I prefer wires over bluetooth connections).

This is a great tool but it needs a little time to get used to. First off, no where on the box is it stated you need to download an App to make it function (upon reviewing the way iPads, iPhones and iPods work it makes sense but not knowing it was a pain). Also if you use it the first time without an Internet connection you will have to search for the App (SanDisk Ixpand). Make sure you download the correct one since there are multiple ixpand apps available. Once you get through the initial downloading and setting up it becomes very simple to load pics, vids, music, and backing up your contacts and "machine". The tricky part is loading documents and other files, in which you can only do one at a time from within the open document. My two complaints: the physical design- it is useable with a case on the "machine" but it could have been better thought out and loading documents could be better thought out as well.

This device is great with my iPad Air running iOS8, I am able to watch multiple movies without transferring to my iPad during a 15 hours flight. As well as transfer files to my iPad for different apps. This means I can read my comic books without syncing with my iMac via iTunes. It is tiny in size. And easy to use. Doesn't require WiFi or bluebooth pairing. So it use less battery power, and it has its own battery built in too.

Light weight and easy to carry in my purse. Very simple to use. Basically adds 32 GB to my 16 GB iPhone. Too many videos? Just plug it in and transfer some of them to free up space to record more. Same with Photos. Haven't tried music files yet, or documents. Just plug in to my MAC to transfer over. Great little gadget. No more running out of space when I am out and about on adventures with my 3 year old grandson!!! Love it!

What a great way to add storage capacity to your Apple device. It's a bummer that you have to remember to charge it, and it is a little awkward in size. I'm willing to overlook those small challenges in a first generation product that works well. The App is pretty straight forward to use as well.

Just in case you open the box and it doesn't work with your iPhone 5's and 6's, iPad's, Mac's, etc like it says on the box, you may have an older one that has been on the shelf. The older units won't work with iOS 9 without a FW update which you can only get using a Windows PC or Apple device still running iOS 8. There's no way to know if you're buying an older one or not as far as I know because my package states "Compatible with Mac OS X v10.6+" and it doesn't have the necessary firmware to run on my systems. SanDisk knew the need for a firmware update as early as June 4, 2015 (or sooner) yet it's mid-February 2016 and there's still no available update on their website for Apple product users. If you're still running iOS 8 or have access to a Windows PC, then you might be fine. If you don't and can't return it to the store, customer support was of little help. They would send me a new one but only after 2 emails (with a 10 day expiration on one so you have to be ready to act fast), I send this one back, then wait another 7-10 days. Hardly helps me for my trip in 4 days. SanDisk jumped the gun using (iOS 7.1+) on their compatibility statement so borderline, if not completely, false advertising. In any event, they should've made sure to get these older products off of store shelves to ensure customer satisfaction with their products. (I'm not so satisfied with the hassle and "their" fix which was really me doing the work they should have) So unfortunately, I can't really comment on the iXpand product itself and satisfaction with how it functions until I get an updated one from SanDisk. I didn't want to give it one star but I don't know for sure that it would warrant 3 . . .I may recommend it to a friend . . . once I have a functional unit to try out.
