It was a breeze to install and the performance/startup is worth the upgrade over a standard hard drive.

I purchased the SanDisk 240GB SSD Plus drive for an older HP Pavilion G6 laptop. While not turning the computer into a “powerhouse” it reduced the boot time, read/write time and generally gave the old system a new lease on life. So why only a rating of four? The drive came with no instructions and no cloning software. It's up to the purchaser to find cloning software, if needed, and how to install the drive. For around $25 to $30 more one can purchase a 256GB Samsung 850 EVO SSD or 860 EVO SSD both of which come with excellent cloning software and a 5-year warranty (as opposed to SanDisk’s 3-year warranty). Do I recommend this drive? Yes, for those wanting to save some money and understand cloning and installation. Otherwise consider a Samsung SSD.

I usually prefer the Samsung EVO lineup for my SSD purchases, but this was for a family member with a limited budget. His old platter hard drive was making a lot of noise and has slowed up a lot. I bought a 2.5 to 3.5 adapter plate to use with it but this case would not accept it. I had to secure the SSD by using two acrews through the mesh of a vent. Fortunately since there are not moving parts in an SSD, it will work. It might not be as fast as the EVO or Pro lines, it is a vast improvement over the old platter based drive.

Perfect for any Mac or PC user that would like to upgrade or boost the speed to their computer. Rather than buy a new computer with the newer technology hard drive, you might as well upgrade the one you currently have with the hard drive SSD that will make it pretty much as fast as all the new ones. Save yourself some money, buy an SST and invest in the upgrade. If you need somebody to hire, find somebody to help You do the upgrade, it's worth so much more than having to buy a new computer and spend a ton of money. Save your money, go on vacation with your savings

My hard drive crashed and I replaced it with this one. Easy to install and format. Computer boots up faster and it is much quieter

Let me preface saying the only reason it doesn't get the full 5 stars is because it looses 10GB to the competitors and it is slightly slower. However, it is still a great ssd, For those not caring for that much space but want an SSD on a budget, This one is for you.

You can't beat the price of this SSD. It outperformed any hard drive that I had tested it with (not very many of them).

I've bought so many of this SSD that I can assure you it is reliable and fast! Of course is not the best, but for the price is an excellent choice.

I bought this SSD drive to put into a used laptop purchase. The used laptop worked fine, but the boot up time and program loads were lackluster, to put it mildly. I decided to do an SSD upgrade to the laptop to see if that would help matters. I have done SSD upgrades to several of my other computers with SSD's from other manufacturers. This SSD is well made, very easy to port over from the old HDD, and I was quite pleased with the overall ease and performance of this drive. You cannot go wrong with this purchase.

This is a very reasonable priced solid state drive. 3 year warranty makes it cost effective for the long haul. The speed and performance is great!
