An SSD like this is the single best upgrade to an existing mechanical or hybrid hard drive in a laptop. It makes windows 7 and windows 10 much more enjoyable. Startup booting is about 10 seconds and the heat is lessened. I would recommend this one because it has been reliable which is the most important to me. It was on sale but sandisk has a track record for bringing to market great storage media.

I have been using these drives for many of the laptops that I've serviced. They are a substantial improvement to upgrade a slow computer or replace a dead mechanical hard drive. You will not regret it. Boot times are dramatically cut short, and program execution is much faster. The price is reasonable for the speeds that you are getting.

I refurbish computers and nothing makes them faster than replacing an old rotating hard drive with an SSD. These Samsung units have proven to be reliable over time and have excellent performance at an astonishing price. If you go to your Best Buy store and there are none of these left in the cabinet, chances are good that we go to the same store.

If you want new life into that older pc don't spend hundreds of dollars on upgrades when an SSD will make it blazing fast. Let's hope it's dependable.

I've used dozens of these with client PCs, mainly as replacements for hard drives. I've rarely had issues with them and they are fast for the price. Sure, they don't have the reputation of Samsung or Crucial, but their price is great and their performance comes close to maxing out the SATA3 interface.

SSD was bought to help speed up a older MOM. Made a major difference in log on speed and swapping zones. Best bang for the buck in small SSD's.

I bought this SSD due to the HDD failing on my 8 year old 27" Apple iMac. The swap-out process was a bit of a bear, but nothing against this drive at all. It has SIGNIFICANTLY improved the speed of my system. My computer boots quickly, files open instantly, and everything just feels new and fresh. Personally, I stored all of my big files on an external drive, and pretty much just the OS and some frequently used files are actually on my drive. If you don't have that option, I would suggest a bigger drive than the 128GB I purchased

I replaced my laptop hard disk with this purchase about a month ago. Installation was without a hitch and no problems operating so far

love solid state drives if your looking to boost your boot time and your programs to running faster this hard drive is the way to go

Great performance and easy to install hardware. Take advise that you need an adapter or interface to transfer data from your old disk

I had a S.M.A.R.T. error on the hard drive of my 5 year old Samsung laptop. i think that was an indication of impending failure. I replaced the mechanical HDD with this Sandisk using a transfer/cloning cable and third party software and watching a CNET video. Worked great. Boots fast, loads fast, only wish I had not bought a replacement Windows laptop first! I could have saved myself a lot of money. i fixed the Samsung myself for less than one hundred dollars. Thank God for good videos on the internet.

I bought this SSD to replace an HDD in my eight-year-old laptop, and it breathed new life into my aging system! Windows boots in about 18 seconds instead of over a minute, apps open faster, and the whole system is overall more responsive. At just $60, replacing my hard drive with a solid state drive just made sense.

I bought this SSD to replace the old hard drive in my laptop, which is several years old. The laptop had always been slow, and now I know why. This SSD is super fast compared to the old HDD that came with my computer. It boots in just a few seconds, and everything I do on my computer has sped up considerably. Sure there are more advanced and faster SSDs out there, but this one is definitely a great value, and is fast enough for the everyday user.

Solid state drive is the way to go to speed up your computer. Boot up is quick and loading progams is much faster.

I bought 1 for my kids Dell Inspirion 11 -2 in 1. I also purchased the Apricorn - Data Transfer Cable and it was so easy of an install that I purchased another for my other kids laptop. The software that came with the transfer cable had no problem with a disk image. The hardest part was getting to the drive. The computer recognized the drive and the boot up time was much faster. It is significantly faster when she plays Sims 4 all because of the hard drive. Very pleased.

Great SSD, fast, great price. I always use these when upgrading older laptops or using for Server boot drives.

Excellent, affordable upgrade for a desktop combining price/performance ratio. Used in conjunction with existing/original hard drive. Only OS and Programs went on the SSD, while User Profile along with its' data stored on the original drive. Just hope that the SSD prices start to come down again...

My laptop went from a 3 Min boot time to 30 seconds. Very fast, and it's not a very powerful computer...
