I just want to back up my files from my hard drive, so the password and encryption seems overkill. Also, the drag/drop or copy/paste to transfer files seems a bit cumbersome. I just want a backup to keep in my firesafe in case I lose my photos, etc that are on my hard drive. Just hoping this will last better than the MyPassport portable storage I tried in the past that quit working. I have a second SanDisk Ultra flashdrive that i'll try skipping their software and simply do a Windows 10 backup to the flash drive. File transfer was slower than expected/hoped but I wasn't concerned about speed, just space and that it is long lasting. Pick the storage size you need, the rest only time will tell...
