This is a good capacity for wedding photography. I don't switch out so frequently and it also forces me to keep a wedding on multiple cards. If I put them all on one card and something happens to that card, that wedding is completely gone. Whereas when I use multiple cards and something happens to one of them, god forbid, I at least have something on another card. It's also fast enough to keep up with the rapid shooting 7D. If you're a videographer, you might want to look into a 128mbs. Also, it's finally good to see the price on CF cards coming down.

Good card -- incompatible with camera

16GB is a good size card for vacation photos, especially the way my wife likes to snap everything in sight. In spite of the salesman's assurance that the card would be compatible with the camera, it was not. Once we had about 2GB of photos on the card, it complained frequently about not being able to read the card. After about 8GB, it said the card was unusable. It was also unusable when we tried to upload the photos to a computer. A trip to Europe with no photos to show for it -- what a waste of money.

I am not a professional photographer but I do consider myself a photo enthusiast. These cards are great and record very quickly for what I do. Generally you want something that reads/writes very quickly. I've used Sandisk for quite some time and found them to be very reliable. Haven't had an issue with these cards yet. One downside is that it doesn't come with the protective case that Sandisk used to give. I don't know if they're cutting back but that was a nuisance.

You don't need a top of the line card for DSLR

A chaper alternative to the top of the line cards that write and read really fast. It is okay to use this card which writes slower if you're not shooting in continuous mode for something like sports or birds in flight. If you are and you are serious about that kinda shooting then you will absolutely need the fastest card that you can afford. Otherwise this is the better value. BTW I use it in a Nikon D800

If you have only one opportunity to capture, record and print a prize winning picture, you can rely on this chip. I used 2 to capture wild animals at various speeds and conditions at a safari in Niairobi Africa last year. Results count. My acquaintances insist I make postcards from these pictures because of their extraordinary clarity.

I am not certain I can give a review since the Best Buy Representative recommended the wrong product for my son's Canon camera causing it to bend the pins and costing me $200 to repair. I was less than happy to say the least and actually thought about Best Buy reimbursing me for their mistake and our inconvenience. Based on my experience I would not recommend this to a friend since I am not sure how well the product actually works.

Decent CF Card for Basic Needs

The card is great for what it's supposed to be--a backup for my other 64GB card. It does the trick. My only wish is that Best Buy would carry more varieties of CF card sizes and ratings. Would loved to have purchased another 32 or 64 the day I bought this, but none was available at that time (I was on a shoot and needed something quick). Worth the money, but you get more for your buck buying as large as you can afford.

The memory card performs as expected. I bought this 16GB card because my 8GB card just wasn't enough. To my surprise it also has a maximum of 50 MB/s write speed, my old card was only 10 MB/s. I know the write speed also depends on the device but my Canon 7D has a shutter speed of 8 f/s so the faster write speed is welcome. The only bad thing I can say about my purchase is that I didn't buy another memory card.

More Memory for the Canon OES20D

I bought this card for my older Canon OES 20D camera, I formatted it on my computer first as the Canon 20D will only self format an 8Gb Compact Flash card. (it will turn a 16 into an 8!!) Doubled the storage capacity of that older camera!! On a computer first format the card and then create a folder named DCIM.

I use these for old DOS drive replacements. Quick tip to make them bootable use a win98 rescue disk. FDisk them to either fat32 or fat16 then run format.com. They sys.com whatever dos version of your liking. Why it has to be Win98's fdisk/format.com who knows but works.

Overall works well for my camera Canon 50D. No problems in normal shooting, but I have had a couple issues when shooting at my kids games with a lot of burst pictures. I fill the camera buffer up as the card can't keep up and have to wait 30 seconds or so for it to clear. I think you'll have that problem with any card at this price/write speed. Even with that issue, it was a good investment

Best Buy is one of the few places that still carries CF cards which are still used in some of the higher end Canon DSLR cameras. That said, the selection of what type of capacities the cards have was very limited this time. The 16 GB card was all that was available and I was wanting a larger capacity card to be able to shoot decent length videos.

The Ultra read/write speed is just fine for most all usage. The 16 gig size is just perfect. Any larger and one tends to get lazy sometimes with downloading chores. Any smaller and you want to be sure to have another card along just in case. With the advent of the super-fast compact flash cards, this is just the right price point for most all photography needs.

Most stores in our area do not handle Compact Flash Cards as they are for older cameras. The gentleman that waited on me took me to his counter and checked to see if you still had them so I could order one. You did and I ordered 2. Received them in two days. I thank you for the help. Received to 16 GB Sand Disk Cards for a great price.

I bought this card, knowing that my old 2GB CF was insufficient for my snorkeling trip to the South Pacific. It provided an unexpected benefit of speeding uploads to my PC through the slow USB interfaces. Glad I bought it, since I ended up taking more than 800 pictures in both RAW and JPEG formats, and still had space for 500 more!

Wife forgot her CF cards after driving to Orlando so I picked this one up on sale. I've had two Luxor CF cards go bad on me but I've got a SanDisk CF card 64MB that I purchased in 2000 that is still running strong.

Hasselblad H4D-40 had problem with several CF cards (non SanDisk) that I had. The camera tried to format but failed. SanDisk CF worked . Recommendation: pay little more and stay with top brand name.

i bought this Sandisk Ultra CF 16 GB card because I was using a 2GB card which I bought many years ago. I was frequently dumping photos to make room on the card so I wanted to upgrade to a larger capacity memory card. Best Buy offered this at a great price. I ordered it on-line and picked it up in the store the same day.

Picked this up during a sale, so it was a great value. I am using this with an older Canon 1Ds camera, so the card is much faster than the camera actually supports, but when I put it into my USB 3 card reader, I am able to transfer the RAW files at about the rated 50 MB/s speed. Completely satisfied.

I waited and spent my last bit of money on this before my daughter was born so I could capture her first day of life and it didn’t even work. Beyond disappointed and couldn’t get my money back as the policy is within 14 days and we were in the hospital so I lost big time!
