I am using it as a backup drive. Has to eject drive and reconnect once the iMac goes into sleep mode. I would not recommend to use as a Mac drive or backup. I do have a back up of my Mac.

Since there is a single NAND block & no DRAM, expect mediocre performance compared to similarly priced NVMe drives. Go for a WD Black (SN750) or Samsung EVO Plus.
