I guess it is fine. I needed to replace my hard drive. This seems to be working. Not sure how to tell if it's special so I gave it a 4.

so instead of spending several hundred dollars on a new desktop the geek squad agent recommended a new upgraded 1TB hard drive..very happy with it and also happy to save dollars.. Thanks BEST BUY. We have been members of GS for years and will continue to do so. Marie Hudson

I just installed it on the PS4 Pro and Loading wait time is faster, Lag from system happens less. I just installed it but even the games seem to transition easier to Home, Store, and back using the PS button. Makes me want to consider a larger SSD in the near future.

I replaced my "C" drive with this SSD drive and now my desktop computer is 50 times faster. Boots up in 10 seconds instead of 5 minutes. Bought one for my wife's computer too.

I got this harddrive to replace one that got corrupted, and its an upgrade in every way, besides amount of storage (but that was my decision, not a fault of the item). I load up super fast, and almost nothing takes nearly as much time as before.

A good drive. Not as peppy as the Extreme but very solid. Once I defragmented and optimized, it's running like a dream!

Great experience. My computer tech was pleasant, efficient, skilled, patient,, He installed the new hard drive, transferred all of my documents and patiently taught me how to work with the updated system. The cost was very reasonable,

It was easy to install. Great product. Bought for grandson for extra storage on his gaming computer.

While I have not noticed any significant difference in performance from one brand of SATA SSD to another, this particular model and brand seems to be the most buggy. IT has the most compatibility issues. It does not seem to be backwards compatible with SATA 2.0, and I am having issues using it with Mac OS X and Linux. I understand that there is no “official“ support for anything other than windows, but Mac and Linux do not require drivers for things like this. On older model Computers, with older versions of OS X (10.4 - 10.9.5), T.R.I.M. support is something that you have to get from a third-party software company, but it is very expensive. From OSX 10.10 and above, it should be plug-and-play 100%. I have one of these in my windows laptop with no problem, and then one computer using OS X 10.15 without any issues. But if you were using anything older than Windows 10 or Mac OS X Mojave or Catalina, I would say go with a different brand. Crucial, Samsung, HP, and western digital have all works for me without any compatibility issues aside from having to install third-party trim support in OS X versions below 10.10.

This is a reliable SSD for a reasonable price. The 3D NAND performance helps both with the speed and "life" of the drive. The Western Digital 3D NAND (Blue) is similar (same company basically) and a little faster, but this is a solid performer.

I don't know looks like a great drive had to exchange it for the correct drive don't let the computer sales man try and tell you what you need for the inside of your computer always ask geek squad first

Bottom line is that I only purchased this unit to replace a WD Blue 1 tb which came with the incorrect firmware. Fantastic drive which otherwise is identical to the same size WD Blue and is only slightly slower then far more expensive Samsung's.

These two Ultra 3D SSD I bought are great ! But the software SanDisk recommends "Dashboard" really does a wonderful job of killing the fun of upgrading a HDD to a SSD !! This "dashboard" has never successfully "migrate" my Windows 10 OS to either of these two . Why can't SanDisk be a little bit responsible for recommending "Dashboard ?" It is simply a piece of junk !

Everything gets better when you accept that Mechanical Hard Drives are a thing of the past. Solid State is the Future.

My computer was running really slowly. The Geek Squad said that it was typical for my computer at this age. The Geek Squad switched the hard drive out, and I had a like new computer in 2 days at a fraction of the cost.

So excited over the new drive installed in my desktop computer. It really has speeded up my moving around on the computer. Thanks for suggesting this drive.

Update this to my old laptop . It works like a new laptop . 100% improvement in processing speed. Best buy geek squad recommended me this . I should say thank you .
