I'm using a laptop from 2009 with an i7 processor. I previously had a HDD in the laptop I'm using for this review. It was very slow and used to take almost 10 mins to boot, and trying to access webpages and programs took much longer. After swapping the hardware and installing the OS on this SSD, I noticed a huge improvement. It takes 10-20 secs to boot until I'm on the Desktop, and webpages load quickly. Doing this helped me avoid spending thousands from buying a brand new laptop.

Replaced a dead traditional hard drive in my laptop and don't think I'll ever buy another system without a solid state drive. System boots up in less than 3 seconds, programs load fast, and data moves! My only regret is not getting the bigger one.

I swapped out an old plater drive , the laptop was 12 years old but the drive helped breathe new live into it .

Installed in my old laptop and it is working perfectly fine.

The performance on my HPEnvy laptop which was 5 years old increased substantially. I would highly recommend this product!

This SSD is great. I lucked out that it was on sale, but it would have been worth it anyways. It breathed new life into an old laptop.

Well made product. This took care of my slow speeds from the original. I can now boot in seconds instead of an hour.

got this on sale... now my laptop boots fast. it was easy to install, but you need to find a software to clone your HDD if you're replacing it. Also download the dashboard on sandisk website to monitor your ssd. if price drops again, i will get another for my desktop...

I installed this SSD in my PS4 Pro and it works flawlessly. It is much faster than the hard that comes installed in the PS4 Pro. It makes a big difference in boot times and game load times. Highly recommended.

I bought this to replace a 7200 rpm 1TB HDD and the speed improvement is insane. These go on sale for $250 or less pretty frequently. If you don't have an SSD in your computer, do yourself the favor and upgrade asap

Bought this SSD to upgrade an HDD on an older PC. SSD was recognized by bios & windows and didn’t have any issues cloning the HDD. Boot times on SSD down to 15-20 secs vs >1 min! Bought at a very competitive price from Best Buy as well. Highly recommended!

I have a laptop, a nicer one(but not that nice). Had an unused SATA slot, and was able to pop this in. My main HD is NVME, but is only 256 GB. Now able to fit all my programs and files on my laptop and don’t have to keep an external drive around.

excellent laptop drive, I replaced my standard drive with this, The setup was easy, pretty much plug n play after cloning original drive, the response time is very noticeable , programs load faster, system seems to run more efficiently

I bought this to use as a boot drive for a Linux installation as well as use a partition for some games to supplement my old Samsung 840. The drive is way fast than my old Samsung 840, and I never felt like that drive was ever slow. Games load extremely quickly.

Bought this for my aging 2012 MacBook Pro (non retina) that was taking forever to load up and run any program. It was easy to clone and replace and now clicks at 20sec from the time I turn on the power until I’m opening up any program. It’s worth every dollar!!!!

i bought this drive as part of an upgrade path to bring my sons PC into the modern era. This in conjunction with a new processor was to be his big expense Christmas gift. This drive was replacing a 1 TB hybrid drive which has functioned perfectly fine for almost a decade, but is definitely showing its age in regards to speed when loading and playing new games and programs. I performed a clean install of windows on the drive and it was running absolutely beautifully, until i turned off the PC. the next time we booted it up, it would not load windows and the drive was not detected. I repeated this process 6 times all with the same result. I quick swapped his original hybrid drive into the system and boom it started right up with zero issues. I am not sure if the unit i got was defective or if there is just something about this generation drive not being compatible with the motherboard on initial start. It is very odd. Numerous restarts during the install and same day usage of it when i first installed it was fine. The problem would ONLY occur if there was a full power down and power up of the system. The only BIOS settings that were changed was what boot drive to use after using the WIN install media, so if there is a specific BIOS setting i need to change to go from old school spinning drive to this SSD, i would love any help i can get. Oddly, i have built over a dozen PCS all with SSD or NVME boot drives and not one of them has experienced this issue.

This was easy to install in my PS4 Pro literally 5 screws and reinstall ps4 onto thumbdrive for fresh install. Its now at least half faster than the hdd was. Im glad i could finally upgrade my pro with this its absolutley perfect for the price and size
