I need a cost-efficient way to upgrade my desktop computer. I had replaced the hard in my laptop a few years ago with a solid-state drive and it still works great. So far, it works great, I hope it performs well as it be supporting my oil futures trading software and speed is important.

Rarely does one buy a product and it exceeds its expectations but this one did. Sandisk's spec page states up 560 mbps read and 530 mbps write speeds. Using third party s/w to check, I received 561 and 535 respectively. My 3 year old I7 desktop now boots ready to go in 15 seconds, what was 3-4 mins before on the original 1 TB HDD. I cloned the HDD so all start up items are the same. No need for a new PC

I bought a new computer from Best Buy and while I noted that it had a one TB hard drive I was surprised that he did not have a solid state hard drive like my last two computers. I immediately noticed how very slow this new computer was so when I saw that Best Buy had a hard drive SSD at a very reasonable price, I bought it and had the Geek Squad install it. I cannot tell you how wonderful it is to have it operate as fast as my other computers. All the people at Best Buy did a wonderful job of helping me out

We purchased these drives on several different occasions to use as replacement drives on PCs that either needed more space or a a replacement drive. They are at the lower cost end for drives of this size, while providing a substantial increase in speed in reliability over standard hard drives. I have been very pleased with these drives over a good period of time, (more than 1 year) in daily use. I will continue to purchase them as long as the reliability is there.

I purchased this drive because my existing 1TB hard drive was a bottleneck in my computers performance. I decided to Re-image my machine with a fresh copy of Windows 10 rather than clone the drive. It used to take almost 15 minutes for my system to boot up to the desktop. Now it is up and running in under 15 seconds. Boot time isn't the only advantage. Everything runs super fast. Is it worth it for the upgrade? Absolutely.

if you need SSD upgrade for your computer this one is a solid performance upgrade . Easy install and can't beat the price and storage!

This SSD is a must buy for anyone having a laptop. I replaced the disks on my own after cloning the disk and now my laptop is blazing fast. The boot time is 5 sec instead of 1min with the old hard drive. I feed every one with a non-ssd drive should shift to this sandisk drive and enjoy the blazing fast computing experience.

Love this item. In the days where pc parts were high priced, i could only afford a 140gb SSD. This upgrade was not only need but substantial. And the price was just *chefs kiss*. If you need an SSD upgrade, get this!

I have purchased two of these in the past month. Put one in a nine year old Desktop and the other in a laptop PC about e same age. Much faster. My desktop had 500GB PNY SSD that I installed a few years ago and was out of space. To my surprise the SanDisc is faster. I used Macrium free software to do clone the new drives.

This made a great replacement to my HDD. Speeds all around are much better and boot speed is extremely fast. A mounting bracket is required for mounting in a PC case but connections are the same SATA as always making connection easy. Available software (free) will give drive data as well as expected remaining life which looks like a great took as the drive ages over the years instead of being caught by surprise.

This SSD doesn't do anything outside of what I'd expect an SSD to do: it gives me incredibly fast loading times, and gives me enough storage to finally get rid of my last 7200 RPM hard disk drive. I have been using it for half a month now with no issues. I recommend getting the adapter and cable with it if you need either one, though, since it does not come with them included. These would be SKUs 5516000 and 5884325.

I have a 2012 MacBook Pro that was really slowing down, so I decided to upgrade it's hard drive to a solid state and this hard drive is exactly what I needed. Installation was fast (fit into the MBP hard drive trey exactly), and getting it to boot up and load the MacOS was a breeze. I was able to install my hard drive, boot the OS and flash my old hard drive and I was on my way in less than three hours.

Bought this to speed up an aging desktop (i7). The cloning software worked without a hitch, installation was straight-forward with a $10 desktop adapter. Could not be happier with how much this SSD improved my computers performance. Should get several more years service from my primary desktop for a little over $100.

Fast. I feel like I just bought a new computer out of the box! I had the Geek Squad install on my Dell Inspiron Laptop which had the old hard drive on it's way out. Very pleased with the service and upgrade!
