I purchased this item to transfer my 7000ish song library to a secondary hard drive, for a backup. Worked perfectly, Used about a quarter of the space and didn't take long to download it and even less time to upload it. DV

portable and efficient. I find it awesome how much SanDisk have improved since I was a kid. It's definitely worth the purchase if you're looking for a portable, small storage device. This thing supports up to 256gb on the go!

I have a ton if lesson plans and needed a way to save them as a back up. Had a 128gb, ran out of space and bought this one. It works well, easy to open and place into the USB slot. Does what it was designed to do. Got this on a 50 percent off sale, which was a bonus for me! :)

I've been using 2 of these flash drives for well over 5 years to exchange updated critical folders & files between my desktop and laptop while concurrently providing a fallback backup media of selected data. The bottom line is that they've become trustworthy devices to fulfill this ongoing requirement for me.

I purchased two of these and they are advertised as being 256GB. I used h2testw which is a utility that writes blocks of data to an empty USB flash drive and then verifies how many blocks of data are really on the drive. I relocated the software from both flash drives and tested them empty. The first drive tested at 236870 Mb, the second drive tested at 237861 Mb. So that is 236.8 GB and 237.8 GB. Both over 15 GB short of the advertised size. These drives are formatted and locked to FAT32 so people who don't know any better can't reformat them to NTFS which supports "journaling" and would shorten the life of the drive but I can't see the encryption to accomplish that consuming 15 GB of space. Still a decent sized flash drive for storing movies no larger than the FAT32 limitation of 4 GB. And for permanent storage of pictures and files.

Transferred 32gb card to this one. Was very fast. I had previously tried another card that was supposed to be fast but took forever. Returned it for this one and a good choice. Tons of room for pictures now. Won't have to worry about any pictures or video, taking up too much space, on a long trip.

I have a laptop that only has 128GB SSD of internal space and needed more for my stuff. I was considering an external drive but the 256GB usb drive is a lot more convenient for me and that's all the storage space that I really need for now. It works fast and does everything that's advertised!

These higher storage-capacity usb drives make backing up media and documents easy and constantly convenient.

I was trying to transfer my iTunes music from an old hard drive to an older flash drive the plug it into our car radio but it wouldn’t recognize it. Went to Best Buy and the rep suggested this USB drive. Couldn’t believe how fast it transferred the music to it. Went out to the car, turned on the radio and plugged it in and it came up immediately. I was looking around the sites of many stores searching for a flash drive that had lots of storage. I found this San Disk on the Best Buy site. I purchased the 256 GB flash drive at a great low price. Works great and meets my needs. Very satisfied.

Hard to believe something so small can hold so much. I love having backups of everything on a flash drive and these make it so easy to keep everything safe and takes up so little space.

These flash drives have gotten so cheap especially when they are on sale that I use them for back-ups, file storage etc. Never had an issue with Scandisk's quality nor with another brand. So I hope the trend continues.

The thumb drive has a large capacity. It is small and is worrking well.

At $50 for a 256GB flash drive was a great price in 2017, even better now at $31. For two years, this drive has performed flawlessly and it's large capacity allows for large data items like photos and video. The drive is reliable and 3.0 is fast.
