got this with discount coupon to total cost about 35 ,,, these are nice big size to store ,,, and my first 3.0 ,, but speed is not a need for me for now ,,, if BB keeps giving me coupon ,,, i will spend more you know what

A 256 GB flash drive for this price is great value. Of course, you can get a portable hard drive for less, but if you're looking for something to carry in your pocket, then SanDisk flash drives are the answer.

I use these for off site backups. This 256 Gb USB 3 flash drive has plenty of space to store my back up files. It's much easier than creating and transporting a box full of backup DVD's to my off site storage location.

Overall, this drive does what it should. It's fairly inexpensive considering it gives you 256GB of storage. However, I have a few of these and noticed that they rarely actually ever write at full USB 3.0 speeds (which I would say 100MB/s is good, but these in my experience only write around 50MB/s, still fast enough, but if you have a lot of data to move around, it can take some time. REad speeds are still good, though, 100MB/s or more. I'm quite sure this limitation is not my computer, as I've experienced this on a few machines with various drives of this model, so I'm thinking that perhaps they advertised only the read speed and the write speed is not quite what it seems (which is how companies generally advertise storage media anyway--they boast about the read speed, but the write speed is generally 50% less). Regardless, I'd still recommend this as I've never had a problem with a SanDisk drive going bad (yet).

Just the right size so it is easy to plug in and remove from slot. Retractable for protecting the connection. Fast, as expected for USB3.0. Reasonably priced.

SANDISK 256GB. I BOUGHT IT BE CAUSE I WANT TO TRANSFER MY PICTURES TO IT. IT HAS SO MUCH SPACE. THE PRICE WAS EXCELLENT. PLUS THEY HAVE A GREAT REPUTATION.

It's a thumb drive. It's fast. It's reasonably priced. It's got plenty of space. SanDisk are my go-to for portable storage.

The fact that this is USB 3.0 speed is great. Much faster transfers than the USB 2.0 versions I have. The storage capacity is plentiful. Also, since the connector retracts, it has some protection when not in use.

Got this on sale, the price was excellent for 256 gb on memories. I use a micro usb adaptor to attach to my cell phone to download all photos and videos without taking any of my desk top computer's memory space.

I hadn't purchased a flashdrive in a long time and this one holds a huge amount of data. I went into another store and saw the same item for sale and it was twice the price I paid for it at Best Buy. Great deal!

Needed a drive which would handle my major photo/video files. I travel and have to share info on various systems and internet availability to connect to the 'cloud' is questionable. This is necessary for me to avoid embarrassment. Just know that the storage size on any flash drive is not the actual storage size. It will be less. I've always gone light on the storage size and I finally got fed up with maxing out a drive with a partial transfer. So, for $40 it was well worth it.

I purchased for my boss and she really likes it. It holds quite a bit of recorded studio music and it’s easy to keep up with and manage the files within the device.

Purchased this as a Deal of the Day for under $50. At that price this was a steal for 256GB capacity at USB 3.0 transfer speeds. Transfer speeds for 3gb files are typically Read: 140 mbps and Write: 80 mbps.
