Customers are saying

Customers frequently mention the Ultra 2TB Internal SSD SATA's excellent performance, ample storage capacity, and competitive price. Many appreciate its ease of installation and the significant speed improvements, particularly faster boot times and quieter operation compared to traditional hard drives. While some users noted slightly elevated temperatures under certain conditions, the overwhelmingly positive feedback highlights the drive's value and effectiveness. The lack of included cloning software was a minor concern for a few customers.

I'll admit that this was an impulse buy on Black Friday 2018 when the price dropped so precipitously, but I've never regretted it. Even though this is an internal drive I bought it for use as an external, specifically as a cache drive for all my Adobe products (especially Premiere and AfterEffects), on the grounds that it's both faster and larger than my boot SSD. That was in 2018, and today I've actually repurposed it for its intended use--an internal laptop SSD. In both usage scenarios this has wound up being a phenomenal SSD drive. It's lightning-fast, even over a USB SATA adapter, and it's held up just fine over three years of use. I was so impressed with it I actually bought a second one (a 4TB one this time) for use as an actual data drive, and it's worked just as well. Yes, the prices do sting a little, but with an SSD you want a good-quality product from a reputable manufacturer. From having owned two of these bought at different times I feel comfortable recommending SanDisk (whose small SD cards I've used for years) as a company and these drives in particular.

I have had this for over a year now and have had no issues with it. It is fast, and running games is no problem for it. 2TB is a decent amount of storage. While it cannot compete with newer drives that are M.2, if you need a SATA SSD, this a great option. It is fast, reliable, and handles anything you can throw at it.

It took what was a decently fast computer and made it faster by ditching the mechanical drive. Quite impressed, and this is almost a 5-year-old Dell computer or inspiron.

Speed....this HD is so fast then the old mechanical HD that was in there. It took nearly 3 min. for my iMac to boot and get to the desktop. Now it only takes 35 sec. to get to the desktop and this is a 8yr old 21.5 in. 8gb ram iMAc...unbelievable! The iMac is alot more snappy, no delay, no spinning pinwheel & waiting for programs to open.

Great price. Got this for around $140ish on a deal and it has been working great as a backup drive. I have been using it in a SATA enclosure and it is working great! Speedwise it is pretty fast if you have the USB 10Gbps enclosure. Or if you hook it directly into a SATA port. Copious amount of space in today's measure.

I have fairly good general knowledge about computer hardware, but I'm not well versed with super technical details. Fortunately, I have friends that are and such a friend picked this drive out of Best Buy's lineup. I've only had the drive installed for a few days, but so far the difference has been staggering. My computer boots essentially instantaneously; by the time my TV is done powering on, I'm already at my desktop. Games load noticeably quicker as well, despite the fact that my CPU is very old and wasn't good in the first place (and in fact is now part of a class action lawsuit). The only thing that gives me trepidation is the fact that it was discounted half price. Whenever I see that kind of sale on a computer part, it makes me concerned that there is something wrong with it or that the sale was artificial. At the end of the day, its price was in line with typical SSD prices, so only time will tell. Also, be warned that this drive does not come with any additional components, such as a tray, clips, or cables. Technology is always improving and hard drives are going to constantly become cheaper and better, so whether or not this is a worthwhile purchase in the long term is up in the air, but if you need a new drive right now, it seems to me this is a "solid" choice.

This is my 5th SSD, replacing my very last internal 'spinning platter' hard drive, which failed in distressingly short order! I've yet to have _any_ problem with _any_ of my SSDs, and they are so much smaller, lighter, quieter, and faster! Win-win-win-win!

I'm very tired of HDD with the following reasons: - Very slow to copy/move hundreds MB of files - fragmentation makes HDD even slower - Spining platters and moving heads could break HDD easily. Especially once you hear the click sound from HDD, it's matter of time. Even though SSDs are still pricey, I replaced all HDDs to SSDs and kept the HDDs as backups. SSDs are fast and low power consumption. Risk of failure is lower than HDD. This 2 TB SSD completed my replacement and working very well so far. Very comfortable to access files on the SSD.

This was my first time purchasing a ssd. It replaced the hdd on my main pc- the pc had become slow and bogged down over the years but once i cloned my hdd (easy process) and ran solely on he ssd it was like a new pc- quick to start up and open all programs!

Great fast drive. Replaced an external full sized standard drive that failed which was in a dual bay housing. This new drive, even though it was smaller, dropped in just fine. I figured for a few bucks more, not a lot, I shouldn’t have to worry about an SSD failing.

I was looking for an SSD to replace my factory HDD in my HP laptop. I saw this and couldn't pass up a 2TB SSD drive for that price! I love the drive, but be advised that it doesn't come with any software to clone your current drive to it! That's definitely a con, but not a deal breaker at that price!

If you need a drive to upgrade your PS4, this one is the way to go for improved speed, storage space, and reliability. I have had Seagate Firecudas in the past and they kept dying after 2 years of use. I feel much better going with this Sandisk SSD.

This is my 2nd Sandisk SSD, I purchased a 1tb to store my games and this to store all my videos files for editing. Though I woould have preferred a 4tb instead I just couldn't justify paying $700. Blazing fast. Recommend this over HDD but of course if you can dish out the cash for it, its worth it.

drive was easy to install into the system, although the mounting bracket Best Buy sells to covert the small SSD to a standard disc drive bay was not useful at all. much too large for the SSD and the holes didn't line up with the drive bay tray's holes. I ended up using zip-ties instead. the conversion from physical disc drive to solid state drive is dramatic, of course. quiet and fast. I would recommend the drive but recommend seeking a different mounting bracket than the one Best Buy lists on the page in "other customers also purchased"...

I needed extra space editing 4k footage in my iMac 27". It works great. No delays or lagging issue. If you don't need to carry it with your MacBook Pro, this is affordable than SSD external hard drive but brings the same performance.

Was looking for a 2TB or larger SSD for my HP omen desktop to store my games for quick load and play. In store they only had this or the Samsung QVO, I chose this over the QVO due to concerns of delays when those got high levels of high write. and I wanted a style like this over a M.2 due to ease of getting them in the OMEN 30L case for quick install. Overall I am very happy with this drive, its fast quick and makes playing and loading games a non issue. Would highly recommend

I purchased this SanDisk Ultra to replace my standard 2 TB hard drive and upgrade to Windows 10. I left Windows 7 running on the old hard drive. My Dell Inspiron 3650 I7-6700 3.41 GHz recognized the drive without intervention, and Dell's restore software installed Windows 10 without effort. I am very pleased. I am running both the SSD Drive and standard HD together and can dual boot to either operating system. However, to my surprise, I have not to need to run Windows 7 except to move programs between the system. I would recommend this drive to anyone in need of replacing a standard Hard Drive.
