    Solid performance, bad design.

Great in every way it's meant for except for two factors, I should have opted for the 64 instead of the 32, which is, of course, my flaw it's either not intended for a key ring to fit or the whole for it is entirely too small. I ended up making it work and it honestly turned out well with some forbearance and a little scuffing. I could swear it's intended to be preconceived to be on a key ring, either way, bad design flaw. All else is to my liking.

    Nice idea, but limited functionality

To be honest, if you have the means and don't need something that is this small, then go for the SanDisk Extreme Portable SSD. Writes and reads on this device are slow (though not as slow as other flash drives). The option to have USB Type-C and Type-A in one drive is nice, but it depends on the device you are plugging into. For example, Apple's MacBook Pros barely accommodate this flash drive because of the spacing between the Type-C ports on the Mac. That's where you may be better off with the SanDisk Extreme Portable SSD which uses a Type-C cable that isn't as wide as this flash drive AND it comes with the Type-C to Type-A adapter. The other issue I have with this is that the slide lock is like all others: they will break or wear out. Mine hasn't broken yet, but it will after enough use.

    Slow speeds, but convenient!

I bought this USB-C drive mostly because I have a USB-C compatible laptop. The convenience of switching between the two is very useful and everything about this drive is solid in that aspect. Unfortunately, one of the cool things about USB-C is it's FAST speeds for both copying files, and reading files off of the USB. When moving files onto the USB drive, you get real nice speeds for a few seconds, and then you get a HARSH slow down. If you're reading files off the USB, it performs fine but gets very hot. Keep this in mind when purchasing yours! I still love mine because of its use with my laptop, but the speed slowdown is a huge let down. Seems to be a common problem with this specific drive if you look around reviews.

Perfect for my needs to shuttle files back and forth between my phone and my PC. Gets HOT when plugged into either phone or computer. Overall I am happy until this thing decides to melt down a USB port.

So I purchased this drive with my new MacBook Pro and was having trouble connecting the Type C so only use USB side. I got this on sale, price was great to at least use USB, but is supposed to work with iPhone. No issues but would advise do more reattach to make sure it's what you want or need.

Very fast and convenient for use on Macs and phones. A caveat is that the slider mechanism is not especially durable and the switch at the top can easily be separated, making it difficult to change plugs.

It's a useful storage device, but the build quality isn't the best. I had to buy it again since the slider became loose after repeated use.

Gets the job done, convenient that I don't have to use adapters for a USB Drive. Only thing I don't like, it gets extremely hot fast when plugged in.

Hi, we regret to learn about your experience. The speed of a USB Drive depends upon various factors. This USB Drive does not have any published write speeds, however, it should provide you optimal speeds when connected to a USB 3.1 Interface. If you are not getting optimal speeds, you can contact us and we will perform a speed test on your USB Drive to check if it is performing within the expected specifications. We will check if your USB Drive is eligible for a possible replacement. I would suggest you to please contact SanDisk® support at 1-866-SANDISK and we will isolate the issue and will assist you towards a resolution. SanDiskConnections

Really disappointed with this SanDisk drive. first the holes in it are sooo small you can't get a keyring in it, maybe just a piece of string and when you insert the usb end into a computer more times then not the usb end wont stay out like it should, it gets pushed back into the drive.

Very slow write speeds even thought the read speeds were around ~ 100MB/sec. Not a huge fan of how these are designed from the perspective of the housing either. Feels like a slightly faster USB 2.0 grade device during daily usage. Returned it and purchased a PNY Turbo, which has better action when retracting the connector and noticeably speedier performance - not to mention a better price.

While I appreciate having both usb-A and C available on the same device, the sliding mechanism needs some work. It's not able to withstand the minimal force required to insert a usb drive into a port without retracting. Also...it get's weirdly hot.

The idea of this is better than it turned out to be. It seems to work intermittently. Perhaps there is something not compatible on my end. But is very convenient.

I bought this to use with my HP Spectre x360 laptop. The read speed is great, but the write speeds are way to sloooow for me. I think this USB is good if you want to copy large items to several different computers, but not so good if you want to write to it and you are in a rush.

Price was ok. It's easy to use. But when I opened the box and looked at the flash drive I was kinda surprised at how cheaply made it was. Made out of really light and cheap plastic. Other than that it's ok.

While it says it is for android and Mac, my MacBook can’t seem to find it. It won’t open and won’t accept any files. It might be operator error, as this is a new computer and new jump drive, but I can’t make it work. I am disappointed.

This flash drive is wonderful-except for one thing. The drive's capacity is not labeled on the devise. I have 2 0f these, both of a different capacity, and have no way to tell them apart. Am I missing something? Like a color code somewhere?
