I've now used these in 6 of the 8 computers in my house. Most computers boot within 20-30 seconds. The other 2 computers are using Samsung 850 EVO drives and are equally as fast but were slight more expensive.

I purchased this drive to upgrade the standard hard drive that came in my 2012 MacBook Pro. My only regret is that I didn't do it sooner! The speed of my laptop is so much faster now. I went from nearly a 5 minute cold-boot time to less than a minute from cold-boot to online. Do yourself a favor and upgrade to an SSD. I got this at an incredible price too!

Got this to upgrade from a regular hard disk. The PC now boots up much quicker and performs great. A great and easy way to speed up your PC.

Great hard drive so far. Super fast and reliable. Have used it for video editing and it’s amazing. Will probably buy another for my desktop.

I had a regular hard drive go bad in a desktop so I bought this Solid State Drive to replace it. I don't store a ton of data on my computer so the 512 GB is plenty of space for me. After loading Windows 7 on it, I would say that this SSD made the computer at least 4 times faster than when I was using the old regular hard drive in it.

I purchased SanDisk - Ultra 512GB Internal SATA Solid State Drive for Laptops to speed up the Windows startup boot process and I am happy so far. Every application performs much faster and the Windows 10 boots up for about 15 seconds. Very happy with the upgrade. You need USB to SATA Adapter and cloning software to complete the upgrade.

Easy hook up and transfer. The price difference between this and a comparable HDD begs you to make the change. Money well spent.

These are a nice step up from the plus models and are basically similar in speed as compared to the EVO's. Nice SSD for the price

upgraded my old laptop with this 512 ssd per the advice of geeksquad assistant...what a difference in bootup and general speed. it will still be my backup computer to my new dell 17in. xps but now works at a respectable speed. highly recommended!

This SSD will greatly improve your system's performance when used especially as a boot drive. It is SUPER fast and easy to set up, just like a normal hard drive. I think you'll like the fact that it'll work on just about anything that requires a SATA interface.

This SSD is as solid as they come. Not problems at all. Never get's hot after long uses. And the space is the perfect sized.

I bought a new laptop about a year ago and it always seemed slower than it should be given the specs. So I decided to replace the hard drive with a ssd. I originally wanted a Samsung but my local Best Buy was sold out so I decided to get this SanDisk. I am not disappointed in my decision. It made a big difference in the performance of my laptop. Programs install faster and run much smoother now. I've never had any issues with SanDisk products and will definitely buy more in the future.

First off I am NOT a computer guy. I bought this ssd to replace an 8 year old hdd in my pc and literally followed a youtube tutorial, opened up my pc, plugged it in, cloned with macrium reflect, plugged it into sata port 0 and it literally just worked and booted perfectly. I am in awe. Saved probably $50 installing it myself over paying someone. As for the ssd itself, it's insanely fast. Boot time sub 5 seconds for windows 10 home. I ran userbenchmark on it and it scored 119% with data as follows: Sequential: 99% 440 MB/s Random 4k: 182% 64.5 MB/s Deep Queue 4k: 225% 326 MB/s Hopefully those numbers help you nerds make a decision. I got this on sale for $55 and it is the best and cheapest upgrade ever. My 8 year old pc runs better than my 2 year old laptop that has an ssd.

Fast and cheap. Used macrium to clone drive from 1tb spinner. Much faster than I expected, first time using sandisk

Upgrade to ssd asap. Just by replacing your old mechanical harddrive with ssd will speed up your computer better than you first got it. For most cases, you wouldn't need to replace your entire computer if you just upgrade your harddrive. This was easy to install and worked right away.

Been waiting for lower price for a ssd drive and this fit the bill, installed drive it works great and very fast

Bought this SSD as a replacement for one that went bad. Installed it and it worked perfectly. The price was very good and I wouldn't hesitate to purchase another one if needed. It was ready to be picked up as Best Buy stated.

Upgraded to this SanDisk 500GB SSD from a 1TB Seagate 7200RPM HDD. I also did a fresh install of Win10 Pro on to the SSD instead of migrating my old existing OS. Definitely a noticeable difference in boot speed and launching applications. Not sure if that's because of the fresh install or the new SSD though...probably a bit of both. CON: This SSD didnt come with migration software or a SSD caddy/adapter for a 3.5" slot. Some new SSDs come with one or both.
