To use this drive as secured .YOU have to install SanDisk SecureAccess software on Yours computer and use this drive with this program. If drive has hardware encryption YOU don have to install additional software. Ordinary flash drive and no any encryption hardware. When Seller writes about hardware encryption on this drive. He or Her chits YOU. Please refer to manufacturers site.

After spending several hours in an attempt at locating the required software to provide hardware encryption, I have given up. Many other users have also complained about the extremely poor documentation. This should NOT be a problem.
