bought for my grandaughter for christmas to go with the sony camera we bought her holds more than enough pictures and video.

Good to have a few of these if you are going to be taking a lot if pictures like I do. Good price. Have bought several.

I got this card as part of a camera bundle last November. So far no issues with the card whatsoever.

My only recommendation is to get a bigger memory card if you are recording full HD video with your point and shoot camera. 8GB fills up fast. I wish I had realized this when I bought it. Other than that, it's great.

This review actually has nothing do with the product itself. So my rating is not fair as SanDisk is good brand. I only want to say that the product labeling on the front is misleading. It says 30MB/s which I assumed write speed (or both read and write speed). When my Nikon D5100 took couple of second to record a picture I investigated and found the source of the problem. The fine print on the back of the SD card packing says, 30MB/s is ONLY READ speed. Write speed is much lower than and this is actually the critical part in rapid shooting. So I had to replace it with 40MB/s read/write SD card.

I bought this to use with my new point and shoot camera. I took it on a week long vacation and had no problem. I gave it 4 stars because I haven't had it that long and am unsure about its long term reliability

It works well till now. Many laptops have plugins for the card, so I do not need an additional port for it.

8G seems to be adequate space for a beginner. Yet if you like to record video, you might need more space.

I have been using the memory card for a little over a month and have not had any issues with it yet.

Why would anyone use or even suggest an Sd card that has a slower write speed ( 10mbs) than the size of one photograph (20+mb) unless you actually want to wait and wait for the opportunity to take the very next picture? Choosing to buy a lower write speed, or an associate suggesting that a customer do it , would only seek to guarantee dissatisfied customers of digital cameras. Ergo, do NOT buy this SD card for ANY digital camera that has a megapixel rating above 8megabits. Unless you really like slow.

works well - good value for price. We use it in a digital camera and have no complaints.

Have used these cards for a about a year with no problems. Excellent deal when on sale.
