Love it: No moving parts, plug and play, and it triples the storage space on my laptop were the fraction of the price of a an upgraded built-in hard drive. And iIt’s so small. I never need to remove it.

I was looking for a flash drive with a sizable capacity for my music files to play with my Yamaha A/V receiver( right now I have 75gb of flac files plus a few gig of High Res music).I saw this at 50% off so I went to pickup one immediately.. Now I have extra space for more, I am always adding albums every now and then and it plays flawlessly with my receiver...and it is fast enough for music transfer..highly recommended for really, really portable backup...and it was a no brainer for the price by which I paid for....and the added bonus is that, it is so small that it is hardly noticeable when it is plugged in my laptop. Now I can switch devices easily if I want to play my music collection

Compact SanDisk Flash Drive is so tiny that you can leave it in your laptop or desktop computer 24/7 and it won't get in the way of slipping laptop into carrying case/sleeve. No risk of Flash Drive getting snagged and breaking as with longer flash drives.
Communication between computer and Flash Drive is rapid.
Holds an impressive 356GB of data (equal to the entire solid state hard drive capacity on one of my laptops and half the capacity of another).
Gotta love technology. How did our grandparents ever live without it.

I used a single 3.0 USB hub to copy from a 3.0 USB hard drive to this product, SanDisk Ultra 256GB 3.1 Flash Drive. The file sizes and directory trees were irregular, non-optimum. A different 64GB 3.0 Flash Drive averages 7.6MB/sec. The product under review averaged 25MB/sec. 3.0 USB hard drive to 3.0 hard drive with same files averaged 80MB/sec. The form factor is convenient for inserting or disconnecting. No lights. Loop for a cord. Shorter than a thumb nail. I like the speed, capacity, price, and form factor.

I needed a flash drive for my car as it doesn't have a CD, it doesn't work with iPod's and the phone access is limited. But it does support USB drives with a clunky interface, at best. I had other flash drives but they stuck out too far and I have accidentally knocked them out or broken off because of this. I lucked out stumbling on this little gem at BB's! low profile, large capacity and fast. I use one for music and a second for the vehicle security.
Will snap up a few more when available.

Amazing amount of storage space for such a very small device. I have some small flash drives like this that don't have anywhere near this capacity and some of them get very hot during use. I was afraid that might be the same with this one but, happily, it does not get hot.

With the way vehicles are now, you need your music on a flash drive, or stream it from your phone. CDs are a thing of the past. My last 2 vehicles I needed a flash drive for my music...and it was a long, bulky flash drive. I needed something small, that wouldn't stick out and get in the way, or break. And something with a LOT of storage!
Well this flash drive is amazing! Its completely almost non-existant! Doesnt stick out more than 1/4 of an inch from the port. And 256gb is PLENTY of storage for all your music! These little flash drives are perfect for using in your vehicles, or extra permanent storage for laptops. Because of the tiny tiny size! And they are cheap now too!

This flash drive is a great companion to any device. Its slim design allows for it to be safe during transport. Packs a surprising amount of storage space and is designed for speed and durability. Low profile form factor

Great portable storage in a very small package. I like these especially for music to use in my car since they don't stick out so far and risk getting bumped. Pretty amazing caoacity for the price. I have had a couple fail after many many rewrites but generally work without any problems. Also the speed is good enough for most purposes.

I use this drive as an audio source (i.e. .mp3 files and playlists) in my vehicle. Its very small (which is great because the USB connecting is near the cup holders) and has good performance. Would recommend

Excellent storage, and excellent for the size. Great to add to the ol' consoles and just have a few extra gigs for games and take to friends. The thing gets a bit hot at times, like kids wont want to hold it by the metal part after its been pulled out after just being used. Still working good a years plus later.
