It's a memory card

Even in the full zoom mode. She did say that it took a while for some pictures to write to the card before she could take another. So I am thinking the speed had something to do with it. She took 620 pictures with a 16mp camera and had over 1/2 the capacity left for more pictures.

Great Memory Card

It does well. I haven't had it corrupt or anything so far, but it's also not used too often. I guess that's good peace of mind to allow it to sit on a shelf and then take it out and use it and it still works after a few weeks. I have no complaints!
