SanDisk is the only brand I use

I'm aware of the well deserved reputation for quality that Lexar has but they are not going to be making them anymore. I have purchased many Sandisk cards and have never had a problem with any of them. Just to be on the safe side you should retire any card after a few years if you have used it a lot, regardless of brand.

It's OK

It might work better on a newer device, but for me the speed difference really isn't worth the extra money over the standard SDHC cards.
