I installed this in a wood frame house by drilling pilot holes into the studs, then using appropriate bolts to secure it into the studs. Once I got the TV mounted, it's REALLY on there -- it's extremely well secured to the backplate and I never once doubted that it was going to stay up there. And this is the best VESA mount I've ever used, because it can tilt in all directions. Better yet, you can install the backplate without it being perfectly level, then FIX it using the leveling screw after you get the TV up there! I had an old backplate from the early 2000s that did not have leveling screws and could only tilt up and down - not left and right. It cost me $89. This one was $20 cheaper, but with extremely useful added features. Progress is amazing!

Heavy duty solid construction. Very easy to mount and although I only mounted a 65” TV I feel it would have no trouble with larger flatscreens. Easy system to lock and unlock TV and adjustable enough for most situations.

This mount was easy to install. It holds an older, heavy TV in our office. The swivel up and down, and modest side to side, makes it useful for us in a higher wall, room view configuration.

Bought for 65” in tv. I wanted close to wall with some tilt ability horizontally. This does the job perfectly. Installer (non bestbuy) also commented it was one of his favorites.

I was surprised this bracket can hold the weight of our tv. It was very easy for my husband to attach it to the tv and the wall. Tilts nicely so we can view the tv from below.

I was a little skeptical because this is not the Sony-brand bracket for my 65” TV. But after reading the reviews I decided to try it. Easy install and good directions. Works perfectly- love the extension and tilt features, Makes it very easy to plug everything in and hide the wires. Half the cost of the Sony bracket too!

I just bought an 82" Samsung 4K Ultra HD TV. If you know anything about TVs you know this was a significant investment. I wasn't about to trust this TV to anything but the best when it came to mounting it. I'd purchased and installed Sanus mounts before and I've always been happy with their strength and security. I was pleasantly surprised with how much they have improved since the last time I installed one. The instructions are clear, and if you have any problems you can call their service center and talk over your installation with them. Additionally, I love their positioning calculation instructions. No guess work involved! Just put in the numbers and it tells you exactly where to drill the holes to get exactly the height you want. Finally, I really loved that this model has the ability to tilt, pan, and extend a bit from the wall. That makes it so much easier to hide the cords and cables as well as get the exact viewing angle needed for your seating position. Not only would I recommend this mount for your large screen TV... IT'S THE ONLY ONE I'D RECOMMEND!

This is the first tv mount I've installed to a wall and was a little apprehensive in doing this right without making too many unnecessary holes in the wall. Instructions were very easy to follow and everything is included in the package for all types of TVs and requirements. The mount is very low profile and you can only place a hand between the TV and wall once it's on. There are lots of locations the bolts can be placed depending upon your wall/studs etc. Also, Sanus have great help articles and videos on their site. Took about 60-90 minutes to have this up on the wall and TV attached.

This is a really well built mount. I was surprised to find the online tools to assist with where to place the mount on the wall. It makes choosing your mounting location very easy and provides exact measurements for the mounting holes. Once assembled and on the wall, the articulation of the mount is smooth and easy while holding our 65 inch tv. I think its the best mount I have installed comparing to at least 5 other mounts I have installed in the past at either mine or my brothers house. I liked it so much that I bought a second one for the 51 inch tv we put in another room.

We have multiple TVs in our home, all with wall mounts. Prior to this purchase the tilt feature was all we needed to keep the ceiling light guy glare off the screen. When we moved our largest TV (75”) to another wall for optimal viewing, we had to deal with the awkward angle the TV would be when flush. With this mount, we were not only able to tilt, but pull out and away from the wall (somewhat caddie-corner) so it was center to our living ar a. The strength and ease of access are top notch. When extended away from the wall, it still remains level.

I'll admit I was a little nervous about purchasing a TV mount just because I don't want anything tragic to happen to my television but I have to say after installing this Sanus Advanced Tilt mount I'm confident that my TV isn't going anywhere. The install process was extremely smooth. I consider myself a bit of a handy man and after locating the studs and measuring a few times to ensure I had the wall bracket level it only took a few holes to get it up. I will say that it would have definitely have been handy to have a cordless impact for cranking down the bolts. The bolts are 2 1/2" long and trust me your forearms will be feeling it when you're done with 4 of them. It's also a good idea to keep a few thumbtacks laying around. The mount comes with a nifty little template to put on the wall and line up your holes but I found that tacking it up helped out, especially when leveling it. Putting the brackets on the back of the TV was a piece of cake and placing it on the wall bracket was as easy as 1, 2, click as it audibly lets you know when it's secured down. Also, the plastic pulls help to unlock it if you need to remove the TV for any reason. Fortunately, you shouldn't ever have to. The TV tilts enough to get your hands behind it for cable install and the TV brackets slide along the wall bracket for easy adjustment. I do however wish there was a way to lock the horizontal sliding. It's not like the TV will slide of the wall mount but if you nudge it it will move a bit. Overall it's a great, quality product that's easy to install and keeps your TV securely up and out of the way.

I have never been one for huge TV's nor have I even done a high definition box for the two past televisions which were the largest I had ever owned at 29" then I got a 32". I don't spend a lot of time in front of a TV but it simply became time to get something fun and big and high def. I did do some homework. Love the new TV but also wanted to have it mounted properly and that is why I purchased this tilt wall mount and also had the Guys from Geek Squad come out and do the install. Extremely pleased with everything.

Purchased this to mount a new 75" TV. Installation was simple. There is a paper template provided to ease determining mount location and finding studs. Drill your pilot holes with the template, take the template down, and bolt the mount on. The mount has leveling adjustment, if needed. If you go to the manufacturer's website (url in the documentation) they have an online tool where you enter your TV model and they will give you recommended height for the mount (specifying the height of the mount bolts so you don't need to figure it out). You can also shift it up or down if you want different height and it will provide the updated measurements. With installation complete, the TV is secure on the wall. The tilt operates easily. With the ability to pull the TV several inches out away from the wall, it is easy to reach cable connection points on the back of the TV.

Recently bought a nice 50” 4K for the bedroom but unfortunately it took over the entire dresser to set upon .. bought this awesome wall mount from Sanus and now literally laying in my comfy bed watching a big screen mounted on the wall ! And the best part is because the mount extends away from the wall and will significantly tilt downwards there is no uncomfortable neck strain while watching or glare on the screen because it tilts to perfection .. easy to install and even better to enjoy

This TV mount is great and very easy to install. I was able to put my 75" TV up on the wall in <1 hr moving pretty slow. Hitting the stud is the hardest step in the entire process. When bringing the TV up to mount it was so easy you questioned whether you did it correctly. The ability to tilt and move out to reach behind the TV for connections is fabulous. My mount is level, but I need to adjust the TV because the mount legs were not level out of the box. Pretty easy to do.

I bought this for my dad and his new "Black Friday" find since his old mount was too small for his new 55 in TV. It was very quick and easy to install. It extends slightly from the wall to give you a small space to adjust cords and such. Does the trick!

The mount was easy to install, the instructions were adequate. It holds my 55” Sony XBR930E which is one of the heavier 55” sets with no problem. I have a multi electrical, coax, Cat 6 recessed outlet mounted in the center cutout area of the mount which fits fine but I did have to trim off about 1/8” off the outlet cover plate to get it to fit. All the cables and wires are not visible and completely hidden behind the TV. The mount will allow tilt up/down and swing in/out which makes hooking up connections easier and allows positioning for viewing. I have this installed in a bedroom with the mount mounted a little higher than recommended, the tilt allows proper viewing from the bed and the swing will angle the screen just enough to be viewed from a seating area off to the side, all with the screen close to the wall unlike the full swing types that extend on long arms (I didn’t need that much swing). Was this mount worth the price? For the features and ease of use for me it was.

My first attempt at this wall mount your TV option. Great instructions and material quality. You will need socket wrench, a drill and a stud finder to install quickly and safely. Took me about 25 minutes. The next one would be a 10 minute job due to the experience of this one. Not a lot of side to side tilt, good tilt top to bottom. Pulls forward enough to plug in wires etc. easily. Easy to attach and detach the TV if needed.

I chose this particular wall mount the same day I purchased our new TV. I wanted our new TV mounted on the wall having finally upgraded to a flat screen TV and replacing our 80's style floor standing entertainment center with a new floating entertainment unit. We really liked this wall mount because when it's extended out from the wall it made for easy access to the TV back panel hookups. Likewise, what angle it does tilt side to side provides a great viewing angle from the great room into the open concept dining area, where guests often sit if we're playing games or sharing conversations over coffee. Another plus factor of it's extending out from the wall a ways is that it makes dusting behind the TV very practical. It's weight holding capacity rating was well over the actual weight of the 55 inch TV we were going to use with the mount. The unit was easy to install with clear easy to follow installation instructions and provided template. A great choice it was!
