The instructions are pictures only. There are no step by step instructions to set this up. As well they are based upon 12 inch apart studs, even though studs are 16 inches apart.
When I went to tighten the screws of the frame into the studs I was able to break one of the screws in half. I am not a large man and am no body builder but i was able to break a screw in half and leave most of it in my wall.
Because I was not confident that the other three bolts would hold my TV on the wall I am returing this product. I would not recommend this to anyone.

I have to say that I am very disappointed in this item. This is the fourth flat-screen that I mounted on a wall, and the only one that I had a problem with. First off, let me say that the directions are awful. The manual has one page with a picture, and then two sentences to describe the picture in every language possible. It takes about 8 pages of directions / pictures to explain, and not all of the pages are relevant so it takes a long time to figure it out. At the end of the day, it is easy - 4 screws in the wall, and 4 bolts into your tv. But they really made it complicated.
Onto the install. I located two studs, leveled the mount on the wall and marked my drilling locations. I then drilled out four holes. Up to this point, I didn't have any problems. I then used the supplied bit to drive the screws into the wall. On the third screw, it broke off inside the wall!!! So I had to run down to Home Depot and buy stronger screws. In addition, I had to move the mount up higher than I originally wanted because I couldn't screw into the same location (because there is a screw broken off inside the stud). What a pain in the butt.
If you do buy this mount, be sure to go down to a hardware store and buy stronger screws. It will save you a lot of agony.
