I had to wrap this connection in aluminum foil.

Does exactly what it is supposed to do! I tested this adapter on a late-2020 M1 MacBook Pro using a Sennheiser XSW-D wireless lavalier set and it worked perfectly. It does get a little warm to the touch, but nothing I that would bother me.
