Unstable for floor use if accidently gently hit.

However, I use it by side of my chair on the floor for compactness. The tongue of aluminum extending from the back does not support any pressure. in other words, if you reach down or bump the stand it topples backwards slamming computer from vertical to horizontal. I damaged my computer when i accidently tapped the computer and it fell. An extended tongue would make this product stable.
