Customers admire the Slim Multiport USB-C Hub's 4K HDMI port, ease of use, and compact size. Many appreciate its multiple ports and compatibility with both Mac and Windows systems. However, some users note that the device can get warm during use and that the cable could be longer. A few also mention that the price point may be a consideration for some buyers.

The Satechi Slim Multiport USB-C Hub is a sleek and compact solution for expanding connectivity on both Mac and Windows devices. With its space gray design, it complements modern laptops perfectly. The hub offers a variety of ports, including Ethernet, 4K HDMI, USB-C PD charging, two USB-A ports, and SD/micro card readers, making it highly versatile. The 60W USB-C PD charging ensures your device stays powered while using multiple peripherals. Overall, it's a reliable and stylish hub that delivers excellent performance for both work and entertainment needs. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enhance their connectivity options.

Overall love the design and sleek metal look. And the right amount of ports for traveling or tooling around the house. Major drawback is the upload speeds. I have gigabit fios ethernet; while the download speed (~700-800mbps) is closer to normal (~900mbps) the upload speed is frankly atrocious, ~1-50mbps, a very noticeable difference. I have to use my desktop usb-c hub to do my uploads, fwp. Otherwise solid product. Highly recommended if faster upload speeds are not necessary.

In my used case I just kind of have it taped behind my monitor and I never really touch it, even when it’s really hot it keeps working and every time that I’ve touched it to move the monitor it has been hot so that’s normal
Great for the price and the amount/types of ports!

Best one I could find with an SD card and ethernet port for the price. I have been using every port on it pretty much every single day since I bought it, and I haven't experienced any problems whatsoever!

I am very pleased with the size of this adapter. I previously purchased a single network only adapter that was larger than this slim model and promptly returned it upon seeing this lightweight multi-function adapter. The color size and weight sold me. It fits nicely in my laptop sleeve.

This is perfect with my new 15" MacBook Air.
It does not BLOCK the MagSafe Charger, and only uses one of the two USB-C ports.
MANY OTHERS DO!!! MAKE SURE YOU CHECK THE COMPATIBILITY!
Getting this with the MacBookAir literally saved me hundreds of dollars. I thought I was going to need to buy a MacBook Pro to have any useful ports.
Highly recommend this.

Works great to connect the monitor to be able to extend the screen and my old usb mouse. Thinking I will affix it to the desk so it doesn't get pulled behind by the cords when unplugged. Price is much less than other alternatives!!

pie far, the best adapter/accessory that I have purchased for my MacBook Pro, as I’m able to connect multiple USB 3.0 multiple USB-C and HDMI display monitor without having any issues and it was the best purchase of me in a long time.

Works better than much of the inexpensive competitor devices. USB-C, with all that I needed for a Lenovo Yoga 730-15” laptop, with USB-C and USB-A/HDMI; but, without Ethernet (NIC) connection. Problem solved.
This review is from Satechi - USB Type-C Slim 7-in-1 Multiport Adapter with Ethernet - 4K HDMI, Gigabit Ethernet, USB-C PD Charging - Silver
I would recommend this to a friend

The USB-C Slim 7-in-1 Multiport Adapter by Satechi is a super handy device. Today’s laptops are so thin that the manufacturers have removed most of the inputs leaving us with no ethernet capability and few USBs. My last two laptops only have a couple of UBS-Type C inputs which require adapters to plug most of my devices in. This is where the 7-in-1 Multiport Adapter saves the day.
Here is what you get: 2 USB-A 3.0, 1 USB-C (for charging), 1 4K HDMI output, 1 Gigabyte Ethernet Port, 1 Secure Digital card slot, and 1 Micro SD card slot. All of this is housed in a metal enclosure that measures roughly 5 ¼” by 1 ¼”. The cord measured to the end of the exterior portion of the plug is about 6” long.
Why do I need this? This device simplifies several of the adapters you’d have to carry into one device. If you travel much, this is a must have. Using the multiport adapter allows you to plug in your USB-A laptop hard drives, USB drives, and other memory cards using the same device. If you want to export your screen to an external monitor there is a 4K capable HDMI port to use. If you like the consistency of using an ethernet cord instead of connecting to open Wi-Fi, use the gigabyte ethernet port. It is a really useful product.
It’s important to understand that this uses the power from your computer to run, so there are limits to powering other devices from it. Also, if I could change two things about the adapter, it would be the length on the cord and the way the ethernet port expands to accommodate the plug. The cord is pretty short, so it leaves the items you are plugging in close to the machine. As for the ethernet port, the end pops up to accommodate the size of the plug. While I had no issues using it, I do wonder if that would ever break. I’m sure that they made it this way to make the adapter smaller.
Overall, this device is so useful that I am giving it 5 stars. If you travel much at all, this is a really handy product to take with you.
