Customers admire the Slim Multiport USB-C Hub's 4K HDMI port, ease of use, and compact size. Many appreciate its multiple ports and compatibility with both Mac and Windows systems. However, some users note that the device can get warm during use and that the cable could be longer. A few also mention that the price point may be a consideration for some buyers.

Wanted an easy way to connect a monitor, keyboard, and mouse to my laptop. Works perfectly! I've had it for a few months now and I haven't had any issues with the connection. I like that is it very small so it doesn't take you much room on my desk.

Useful addition to a new MacBook

Having bought a new MacBook Pro with USB-C connectors I found that all my current desktop connections were impossible as they were either USB-B or Thunderbolt. This was the simplest way to continue using all my older peripherals although I had to put the USB transmitter for my Logitec mouse and keyboard on a 3 foot USB extension lead to get them to work consistently. It seems to run a but hot but there's no smell of burning so I guess that's OK....

A much needed addition for the MacBook Air! I highly recommend this for anyone who needs the extra connectivity. Yes, it was an additional purchase, but if you are a Mac user, you do what you have to do. Very compact, lightweight and easy to use.

This has been a great addition to my M1 iPad Pro. I recently switched to only using an iPad and not having available ports was one of the hardest parts of the switch. The Satechi slim hub takes care of this. Everything on the hub just works and the build quality is very nice. The metal casing has a very premium feel to it and the attached cable seems like it should hold up to regular use. I keep the hub attached to my origrid to always have it at hand.

Very impressed! This hub allows multiple things to be connected and running at the same time. Haven't had any issues and no lagging issues. Doesn't take up alot of space either. I would like to see the cable connecting to the computer/tablet be a little longer. Highly recommended!

I'm using this with a MacBook to drive an external monitor via HDMI and to connect two USB peripherals. Not using the wired Ethernet port in my setup. It works well but gets a little toasty, never too hot to touch but noticeably warm. Also note that the USB port on the device can only be used for charging, you cannot attach a peripheral to it.

I had to buy this adapter for my new Samsung laptop because it has no standard USB, HDMI or Ethernet ports, all of which I need for my peripheral devices, screen and wired connection for maximum internet speed. Runs fine, although seems to be warm to the touch as compared to other adapters I've used.

MUST USE A USB C CHARGER while using this!!!

I purchased this because I needed to have an Ethernet connection a usb headset connection and I needed to be able to charge my Macbook air while I work from home. My Macbook only has 2 usb c/thunderbolt ports and that is not enough for me to have 3 devices connected. I noticed that my usb kept disabling due to this hub needing more power or not having enough power to operate. I racked my brain trying to find a solution. I spent hours searching the web, I tried all the trouble shooting I read and contacted Apple support for more trouble shooting, and they seem to think the hub could be defective. After reading the answered questions on Best buy for the fiftieth there was an answer to a question regarding AC power, the answer was hidden in the additional answers. It said for this device to work better and to get the most out of all the devises connected you have to connect a usb c power adaptor to it. Once I connected my Apple USB C power adaptor to it, I have not had a problem (fingers crossed). All the time and research I spent trying to find a solution it would have been nice if that was posted in the specs. This hub is compact and easy to set up, it has a SD and Micro SD slot that I will not use so that is a waste for me and I am not sure if I am going to keep this hub. I will use it with the power connected for a couple of more days I will make a decide if I take it back or keep it.

Gets warm during use. The ports works fine; and provide opportunity for multiple attachments for my MacBook Pro. It's small & portable, fits easily into computer bag so I can always have it with me. I wanted an available Ethernet connection, USB connections, and SD card access.

I have owned two MacBook Pro laptops and I had to buy a new MacBook Pro in a hurry as my older MacBook Pro was having issues with the battery life. It was also close to be outdated and no longer supported by Apple. I decided to go with the 2020 13 inch MacBook Pro with the M2 chip. Unfortunately, it has only two thunderbolt 4 ports and one is needed for charging the MacBook Pro. I purchased this after realizing that the MacBook Pro 13 inch model, which I also purchased from BestBuy only had two USB ports. I’m currently using a different model for home use that can support three monitors , but I’m only using two. This is still is a very handy and useful adapter. It has a gigabyte ethernet port that is extremely useful and it has a couple of extra USB ports that you will discover you will need when you are traveling. The unit I purchased for my office a more expensive adapter for home use as I have two 4K monitors hooked up to my MacBook Pro and this device is only rated for one 4K monitor. The unit that I purchased for home use is just too big and heavy for traveling and this little device is a great size for taking on the go. I still use this device a lot for traveling around and it has been great for my laptop. I haven’t had any issues with this product and it’s just been a really great device for “on the go” use. It matches my MacBook Pro as it’s actually space gray. This is perfect for those who use their MacBook Pro for basic tasks at home and only need one monitor. It will support the Apple 6K monitor, but that are also expensive and 6K is kind of an odd choice for resolution in my opinion. For those who want a two or three monitor set up, then you should look at something else and get ready to fork over a few hundred dollars for one that supports multiple monitors as well. I have this in my messenger bag that I purchased for my new MacBook Pro and it’s been great when I’m not at home and need extra ports for other devices. It is small enough that it fits in my bag along with my cords, charging adapter and my DVD player. I’m extremely pleased with this device and I would have ended up buying something similar to this for my traveling adventures if I had not purchased it with the 2022 MacBook Pro. It will probably last longer than the MacBook Pro as Apple is now pushing out new devices quicker and I’m sure that I will be lucky if they support the 2022 13’ MacBook Pro for more than about 3 years. I recently activated my iPhone 13 mini and Apple is about to release the iPhone 15.

Using this on a iPad Pro 12.9”. Was very easy, was able to move stuff from usb to micro card and from iPad over and back over without any issues. Really happy with it. Only negative is not enough room for 2 thumb drives to be plugged in at once but not a big deal for me.

Effective bridge from USB-C to multiple other platforms. HDMI 4k is giving wonderful sharpness to 4k monitor. Small size is good for travel, business presentations in remote client offices.
