Customers recognize the USB-C Multimedia Adapter's dual 4K HDMI ports as a significant advantage, praising its compatibility with various devices and ease of use. However, some users experienced the adapter running warm, and others found the price to be a drawback. Concerns were also raised regarding the refresh rate limitations on one of the HDMI ports.

Firmware Issue with USB-C for Windows 11

Adapter would be great, but even after downloading the drivers, the usb-c doesn't seem to work on a new Dell laptop using Windows 11 with anything outside of charging. I've attempted to connect USB-C headphones, and CAC card readers with no success.

Product is decent. Unfortunately, it doesn't make the Mac support both monitors as native instead it using the SiliconMotion Driver for one of the two HDMI-connected devices.
This would be fine if SilicionMotion's driver supported all features for the display. This won't matter to a large number of individuals. For me it means that I can't have 3 monitors portrait beside eachother.

Macbook M1 adapter - Good for Dual monitor

Purchased specifically for M1 Macbook use. Is one of few devices out that supports dual monitors. The adapter does work and works well when it does but had fairly consistent issue with one monitor intermittently disconnecting. I had replaced cables and also used different monitor but problem persists. The fix is easy, usually just unplugging and plugging back in but sometimes is annoying.

Worked good for a year then became spotty. Just shy of 2 years only one screen displays. Not a reasonable result for an adapter that just sits still on my desk.

It’s been working great for my iMac M1. I’m able to use 2 external screens. However, it does have an issue—I have to unplug/plug the adapter to be recognized when I restart my iMac. This happens with the latest version of the SiliconMotion InstantView (V2.9 R4). Hopefully, they’ll be fixing this in the future.

A good adapter for USB legacy devices

Bought this to connect USB legacy devices (external hard drive, wireless keyboard/mouse dongle) to a MacBook with only Thunderbolt/USB-C ports. Many people will be purchasing these types of adapters as the industry transitions away from USB legacy devices. The only complaint I would have is that they place the legacy USB ports a little to close together. Other than that, it works well. It's also a little expensive compared to other adapters.

With a Macbook Pro M1 laptop, It kinda did what it syas it will. I didn't know I had to add software to make it work. then one monitor was 60 hZ and the other 30. This was very noticeable, and blurry so I returned the unit. Now I just use a Belkin splitter, no software and displays two monitors (clearly) as expected.
