I absolutely love this movie when I first saw and I still love it. It being in 4k it never gets old, a must have for any movie collector.

Approximately my 4th copy of this movie. The 4k transfer is stunning and the sound is fantastic. One of the best WW2 movies ever made.

Saving private ryan is a classic and to have a 4k copy that is practically studio quality with atmos support is just amazing highly recommend

The movie that lost Best Picture to Shakespeare in Love. *sigh*. Anyways, the landmark war film is finally out in HD and it stands as one of the best films ever and one of the best Blu Ray's ever (And DVD.... laserdisc if it was released for that format...) that rightfully earns a place on your shelf at all costs. I am not even going to go over the film because everyone knows about already with the iconic 20 minute opening scene, the use of color that has become synonymous with the film and widely praised as the best war film ever made. It has gone above and beyond the call of duty to deliver some of the best PQ of all time on a Blu Ray disc, replicating the gritty grain structure, muted color palate, and amazing detail to each and every frame displayed across your TV. The sound mix is equally stunning, making you believe the taking of Omaha Beach is happening 10 ft. away from you. The extras are plentiful, and are on the second disc to give plenty of room to the film itself on disc one. Included is a full length documentary about WWII itself and how it was captured on film throughout the course of the war, an intro by Spielberg, several making of featurettes and a series of trailers. Go out and buy this now, no matter how much or format. It belongs in your home.

I saw many reviews that had the disc transfer 10/10. When I put it in, the image was definitely a step up from the blu ray, but there was certainly heavy grain that I personally do not like. Its a classic movie, however, do not think that the picture is quite demo material

Great movie and looks great in 4K. The extras are a great bonus too especially for my world history class!

This movie is great, has amazing FUNNY lines, fast action, really sets a nice pace. The sound is great, can't say enough good things about the sound, it has what you expect for the money you spend on a disk of this magnitude, the money they spent was well placed. You get high quality content. The CGI is so realistic you forget its CGI and just fall into the story and lose yourself in the emotion and staging of the drama and action.

Love this movie. Wanted the updated format to watch on and listen on the sound system and TV.

The first war movie that truly created the true horrors of battle. The first 30 minutes of recreating the D-Day landing at Omaha Beach was incredibly real. The last 30 minutes of the movie was a complete adrenaline rush that had be shaking. I felt like I need to be debriefed after watching this movie. If your not moved by the ending of this movie, then you need your pulse checked.
