I was happy with the installation but wish old bolt latch would have work, swapped it out and put in new one that came with lock. Made ajustments so it would slide with no friction on strike plate, smooth as butter now so hope batteries last. Easy to use but Wish they had a brass finish and also auto unlock via bluetooth feature when approaching lock. That's why only four stars. The button below the lock is just my door bell. Hope they can add the auto unlock with firmware upgrade then would it be awesome!

The Encode WiFi Deadbolt lock was a great buy for me. It was easy to install the set up on my ring security system was compatible and it works flawlessly. I highly recommend this product if you’re looking for a great Deadbolt lock.

We bought this wi-fi deadbolt to replace an August Lock (2nd Gen). We have just updated with a Ring security system. We had decided to replace the August video doorbell with the Ring Doorbell 3 Pro hoping that the latency of the Ring would greatly outperform the August (latency with the August doorbell is horrible). As part of this upgrade, we wanted a wi-fi lock that "works with" the current system. The installation was pretty simple. Some of the parts did quite seem as "sturdy" as parts I had seen for the Yale lock. However, they do appear sufficient and the supplied strike reinforcer definitely makes the security of this lock seem solid. Setup is a breeze for the Schlage app and the Homekit. There's an option to add an Amazon key as well. However, I'm not sure both can be added. I'm currently looking into this. The only real negative to the entire installation was the lack of the inside assembly screws. Having begun the installation a little late in the evening there was nowhere I could go to find the screws needed so, I spent a solid hour searching the whole house for 2 screws that would fit properly. I had briefly checked the packaging before installation but had evidently overlooked these two screws. All in all, it's a great lock. My wife and I really like the look which matches our house style perfectly (modern) and it was an easy installation. Look for an update after we've incorporated it with our new Ring system.

Awesome product for our smart home. Easy to install and connect to our internet network. Remote access to our lock is a must have. Great product. Better connectivity that previous Schlage lock. Different series that requires a WiFi adapter that would connect. This lock is real deal and very secure.

i have only had the lock for a week. It's been great so far. I recommend it for the following reasons: - very easy to install. I have to admit that when I opened the package and I saw all these parts and screws and bolts I got panicked. I said to myself how is this easy to install? No way! I got the instructions book and I followed step by step and before I knew it, it was perfectly installed. I feel I am an expert now, so easy! - the lock works like a charm. It notifies me who gets in and out using their code, and I have it on autolocking after 15seconds everytime, so I don't even have to lock after I close the door. - the app is so helpful, I have full control, I can lock and unlock from the app! Sweet! Now, the next time the cleaner comes while I am on vacation and says: I came and cleaned today, I will know exactly if she came and how many hours did she stay! I highly recommend it. I could not decide on a lock for months, but I am glad I finally decided.

i love this deadbolt a lot. 30 mins for installation. has auto lock so you will not leave the house with anxiety that you might left the door unlock. Google home can check its status and can lock it too. you can also change the key to make it more secure. check youtube vids.

I have had Nest locks for a couple years, since deciding to merge to a "smart" home.. I don't want to say the Nest products were bad, but I have have a few problems with the locks.. Ultimately, one of my locks broke completely (after only two years), and I had to replace the product.. I didn't know which product to go with, but I knew I wanted something different, and I have had regular Schlage locks in the past, and was happy with them.. I knew as soon as I opened the box, this was going to be a much better product.. The quality of the lock was noticeably better and SOOOOO much easier to install.. Also, this product does not require a "hub", unlike the Nest.. So, you only need the lock and the App.. The app is user friendly and actually better as well.. I am happy with this purchase and recommend as a smart lock.. I will (eventually) be replacing my entire lock collection with these..

Me and my wife absolutely love this lock! The looks of it as well as the function is absolutely amazing! It gives us an extra sense of security for when we are not home and the kiddo is. We set his password for the door and as soon as he gets home from school it lets us know passcode “His Name” has unlocked the door. And it the times you just want to check and see if everything is locked the App opens up instantly showing locked or unlocked. Would not go with another product after this.

Great product, easy to set up and use. Looks nice, just a little big, but no big deal. Nice color and looks.

I purchased this lock because we are always wondering "Did we forget to lock the front door" (especially when 20 minutes into a 3 hour drive) and by "we" I mean me. I have found the lock simple to use, once installed. The Schlage app works well on my iPhone. Overall, I have really enjoyed this lock and the comfort that it affords me knowing that I can check to see if the front door is locked using the app from in the car or my wife can, if I'm driving.

This is my first wifi enabled lock and I had my concerns. However, this lock worked exactly as advertised right from the start. The app also works well and I appreciate getting notices when the deadbolt is locked and unlocked. Setting up temporary codes is a breeze also. The only improvement I can think of is that it would be nice if the numbers on the keypad illuminated, perhaps with some kind of proximity sensor.

I like that this door lock is WIFI. Most others are Z wave and need a separate controller to operate remotely. I purchased this product in hopes of using it on one door and ended up using it on a different one due to the deadbolt hole on the solid metal door was too small. We will be purchasing another one if we ever replace the door. I like the look and ease of use. I have not had it long enough to comment on battery life.

I have used another Schlage product for my keyless entry on my house. This unit with the built in wifi and app make this unit worth the extra money. The best feature is you can assign when certain codes. These separate codes are useful if you have a dog walker or maid that comes by when your not at home.

I bought this lock over the others b.c it was ranked higher in security. The app is ranked pretty well also. The only thing is that it isn't bluetooth so it doesn't auto unlock when I arrive home. Without that feature I feel it should be a little lower since the other competitors offer it at a lower cost.

I love the fact it works through wifi directly and not through the Apple Home or some other 3rd party mechanism. It’s very reliable. I get alerts any time the door is unlocked or locked. It was easy to install.

Easy to install, easy to set up. Security codes assigned to various family members was also easy. Glad we purchased this lock. We had a locksmith match all our other Schlage locks to match the keys.

I thought this lock was very good upon appearance and much better than August lock. The August lock hs just to big for my beautiful 10 foot doors. This lock is much thinner and blended into my front door’s original hardware. This lock connects easily to alexia and that’s the reason why I like it.

The smart lock looks good, and easy to use. The installation take a while even with Best Buy in-home installation due to some bluetooth issues, but once we reset the lock, including draining the power, it went well. Make sure you have a strong WIFI signal too. One thing is the app seems taking a while to update setting to the lock. When I try disable auto-lock thru the app, it takes a minute or 2 to update to the lock with new settings. Still recommended!

This lock was relatively easy to install and setup. It's priced just a little bit high, and the app is somewhat limited, but otherwise it has good quality.

We love it, but we do have to change the batteries a lot. Its easy to use, customizable... just eats a LOT of batteries. Like 12 AA a year.
