It is pure Aux cable that can be used only for listening to music. It will not work for phone calls. You can hear the other person, but microphone will not work.

Almost lasted a year

Cable served well for playing audio (via Aux port) in a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee that back then only supported phone bluetooth connection. Well none of these cables are made to last. Today May 2024 audio from connected iPhone 15 has began to cut out intermittently. Almost lasted a year.
