Customers commend the MagicMount Dash/Window Mount for its ease of use, strong magnet, and secure hold for GPS devices and phones. Many appreciate its stability and the effectiveness of the suction cup, making it ideal for hands-free GPS navigation. However, some users mention challenges with the mount's adhesion to certain surfaces and its size limitations for larger devices. Overall, the positive feedback on ease of use and secure mounting outweighs the concerns about stickiness and size.

Do any off road driving - run your car kind fast - crush some bumps now and then? If you answered yes or no to any of the above, this MagicMount is perfect for you. It does require that you put a thin metal plate on the back of whatever you wish to stick to it - but I can say it will not fall off unless you roll your rig. I have a jeep and travel 2 to 3 thousand easy to rough road miles on my vacations. This mount has never failed. It is so easy to use. Put the plate on the back of your device, put the device upto the holder. Thats it. easy on easy off, but I wont fall off. There are two sized plates - small and large. I use the large on on my Note 4 Samsung phone. Stick the landing every time.
Enjoy with confidence.

This mount is a flexible option for people who do not want to have a particular size mount. It will fit any type of phone. The only drawback is having to attach the metal plate to the back of your phone or case in order to use it. If I change phones, I will have to find a way to transfer the metal plate or find a new one. Overall, very nice mount.

Took a while for it to stick to the dashboard, other than that it’s a solid mount.

It's not for i-phone usage only. I use this with my Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge phone and it works perfectly. I can finally use my phone as a GPS. Also, I have a tendency to lose my phone in the car. It falls between seats, or on the floor. I have a small car with a stick shift (6 speeds) and therefore a lack of storage. Now, this is solved. As soon as I get into my car, I put the phone to the mount and voila!

Broke in less than a week

I had just bought a new car and needed a dash mount for my phone. I decided to try the Magic Mount because the price was good and I wanted to try a mount without noisy brackets. It worked beautifully! Suction adhesion to the dash was nice and strong. The magnet held my phone in place very nicely. The cord clip kept my phone's power cord in easy reach. It was working just fine. Then one day I made a turn only to watch my phone still attached to the Magic Mount go sliding off my dash and land on the passenger side floorboard. The suction cup was still firmly attached to the dash. The suction cup had broken where it attaches to the mount. There was no way to fix it. Now, I may have just gotten a faulty one, but to break with less than a week's use? That's just not good. I ended up replacing it with Bracketron's SI magnetic dash mount, and have had no issues with that one.

This mount is effective and has worked for me. I have loved how easy it is to stick my phone to the window, towhere it is up where I can see it. The only problem is, having my phone up in the window during summer time makes my phone overheat pretty quickly, and the metal piece probably doesn't help with that.

Only problem is if you're in the sun to long your phone gets very hot. Love the magnet features, they're right on spot with the grip of weight it can hold. I use for gps only. You can see who calls, but I don't text/talk and drive. So don't buy it for this feature only. Your life is worth more than $28.00.

I drive a manual Mustang GT. Everytime I get a call and I'm driving in town it previously became a serious distraction steering, shifting while holding your phone. A couple weeks ago I stopped in my local Best Buy and wandered back to the Car audio department and noticed this hands free dash mount phone/GPS holder. I purchased this and it was installed within 5 minutes and is the best little problem solver!!!

I have used several of these in the past with horrible results but this item proved me wrong. I drive a Jeep Wranger and a rough ride is a given, I also have a Note 4 that is one of the biggest phones on the market and this item has yet to twitch at it. I have also removed it and moved it twice since purchased and still going strong. I have since purchased another one for my second vehicle.

This is may second Scosche magnetic product, the first one was a Magnetic holster with a heavy mat ( or pad). This convinced me to buy this one for my other SUV. First, the suction cup is not as strong as I thought, especially in a hot environment ( 100 degrees F); and the magnet will hold only if your phone is not heavy. I tried on an iphone 6 and works great, but when an iPhone 6 Plus with a case was set, it continue to slowly slide and has to be re-center. The other one ( the "Mat") works great with both phones, so my advice-if you have the space to put in on the dash or next to the gear box-buy that one.
As phones exponentially gets bigger in every next model, I may suggest the company must try a especial edition for them. Its a product you get to love over time despite the flaws.

Bought the mount about a month ago and I am very pleased and happy with my purchase. The fact that you can use it with any phone and the look of it so clean and classy, since you don't see any side wall or holding clips on the side. The magnetic plate is super strong, I hit bumps on the road and it does not move or fall from the mount. Over all this is the best mount you can buy.

I was in desperate need for a phone mount on our trip to California in July. While on vacation there, I found a location in San Francisco. There were very few options in stock. This one looked nice and a little different.
It works great once installed. But, we had a tough time getting it to actually work with its suction cup. It was nearly a bust for the trip but it works great at home.
The magnet piece that is needed to adhere to the phone/case is sometimes annoying especially those who enjoy a smooth, bump-free back to their phones or cases. I got over that.
Finally, when mounted, the phone had a hard time staying straight on the magnet area. It tipped quite a bit side to side.
Overall, it's a pretty nice mount all in all but there are annoyances that go with it.

This is the best mount I have used. I mounted it on my dash board several weeks ago and it has stayed in place. No issues with hot summer days either. I have used the mount for my phone and GPS unit with no issues.

I wish I would've read the reviews first. It does not stick to my dash at all (which is where i wanted the mount to originally be). So it's a little disappointing that I have to put it on the window. It sticks to my window, but it falls off if it gets too hot. I went on a 24 hour road trip with it, and it stuck to the window the whole time. Easy to install. Magnetic grip is strong. I got a $3 iphone case and stuck the second magnet on the inside of the case, so the magnet does not have to be stuck to my phone or the outside of the case. This idea works and looks great and still keeps strongly mounted.

I loooove this thing. It's so easy to place, remove, and put back my phone. The clamp ones are awful, because it takes 2 hands. This is just as simple as pulling it off. It's a great magnet. The thin magnet can be placed inside of my thin case and still connect. I can actually connect to my Samsung Note 5, because of its metal back, but it's not a strong hold. No big deal. The magnets are super thin and my case is thin, so I just stick it inside the case and no one is wiser.
A word of caution though, you can't wirelessly charge with it on. The magnet interfere with the connection and it won't work. That's not an issue for me because I charge my phone plugged in, because my cat likes to throw my phone off of the wireless charger. Lol Cats.
