The good is that it looks nice and has a profile that doesn't seem intrusive like the ones with whole cradles. The not so good... Magnetic mount is mediocre. For the short time the mount was installed my device didn't stay on. My device is Qi enabled so the attachment for the magnetic mount needs to be near the bottom of the device. That disrupts the center-of-gravity and does not provide any stability when the vehicle is in motion much less when going over anything non-smooth. Turns are a problem too. The mount itself did not adhere to any dash location or the windshield, so it was no-go for the entire unit. I usually have to do this 2-3 times before I find one that actually works.

Got one for my girlfriend too and she loves it too. Easy to assemble. The only thing and it minor is that the double sided sticky tape doesn't last long so I had to buy some. Brand is gorilla glue Doble sided stick tape and havnt had to replace it since

I didn’t like this product because the phone would shake and rock around while the car was in motion, particularly on the freeway. It was ok on local surface streets.

Then it wouldn't stay suctioned on and will fall ever 5-10 minutes. I even had to take my case off to use it because it would work with my case so the phone was pretty light.

Works very well, BUT must be attached to a flat surface or it does not work. That limits the placement in a lot of cars. But if you have one, and I do, it works great. The extension arm allows you to have it where you need it. Only wish it would swivel, but knew it didn't when I bought it. Really a great product.

Posted .We are sorry to hear about the disappointing experience you had with your Scosche MagicMount. We have successfully tested the MagicMount with newer phone models. Do you use a protective case on your phone? If so, can you confirm if the MagicPlate was applied in between the phone and the protective case or was it placed on the outside of the protective case? Thicker, rugged phone cases or dual layered phone cases can interfere with the magnetic attraction between the MagicPlates and the magnets in the MagicMount, resulting in a weaker, less secure hold. We recommend testing the placement of the MagicPlates before actually adhering it to the phone or phone case. MagicPlate effectiveness can be tested by laying the MagicPlate in between the case and the phone, without exposing the adhesive on the MagicPlate. Once this step has been taken, place the phone on the mount. If the phone slides off the mount or appears to have a weak magnetic attraction, we would then recommend placing the MagicPlate on the outside of the case.
