I bought several types to hold my phone, but this took up less space, attached easily, and is far superior.

The mount was easy to set up but had to wipe down surface really good before sticking adhesive on dashboard. Works well if dashboard has flat surfaces instead of round surfaces due to small surface area of adhesive. The magnet works well with my iPhone 6 Plus but the problem is the swivel attached to the base its not as sturdy as I would like it to be. Even when I locked down the swivel all the way it still moves a little. So over time you'd have to adjust it again and again after a while it gets annoying..

This works perfectly! Keeps your phone stable, and doesn’t take up a lot of space on the dash. Easy to remove if needed with no damage to the dash, just need to get another sticky thing to re apply

Unlike so many cell phone accessories/tools, this Scosche is top quality. Sticks to dash as intended, magnet holds phone as intended, and adjustable tension swivel works as intended. I bought this one simply to use in a rental car while I drove to Arizona. Its so convenient to be able to attach the phone in a spot that is easily and safely viewable, especially if you are using navigation

Best one yet. I have tried 3-4 other holders for my 2016 Explorer and none worked well. This is great. Strong magnets holds an iPhone XR on the right place of the dash so you don't have to look down like those cup holder types or ones that clip in air vents and can break the fins.

I bought this one as a gift because I have bought 4 for various cars before this. It works with all different shapes of dashboards which is nice. It is a very strong magnet so my phone never falls off. The magnet has also never caused a problem with my phone which I was worried it might. I have used this to mount both a phone and an old Garmin GPS unit I have. Works great for both.

at first i thought it wasn't going to stick to my dash very well but it did and this thing is super handy. you stick a thin metal thingy onto the back of your phone case and it holds onto this pod magnetically. when i get in my truck i stick my phone on it. no more phone handling while driving. it's great, i highly recommend this one!( and i don't hesitate to slam terrible products)

A simple device that keeps my phone up and out of the way in my vehicle. The magnet is very strong. I have not had it fall off once and I use a very thick phone case. The only reason for 4 stars is the fact that I can't have the magnet on the back of my phone when charging wirelessly. Be aware that it can damage (overheat) your phone if you use it with a wireless charger.

Really good dash mount. Small profile but very strong magnet. No problems holding my iPhone XR. But the adhesive on the base didn't last 48 hours. Couldn't survive Texas heat on the dash...I used Gorilla Glue and now it's stuck there forever.

I used to have the cradle type holder for my cell phone, but I will never go back after using this magnet. The magnet itself is strong enough to hold my phone in place but not too strong where it is hard to remove my phone from it. The mount has a very firm grip on the dash and doesn’t take up much space.

This product will be good for some, but maybe not for others. Let's start with the good. The adhesive to the car is very strong and tight. I have no worries about it becoming detached from my car! I personally did not want to get a vent clip because I live in Florida and do not want to block my precious AC vents during the summer months, nor risk adding heat to my much needed electronic device during the winter months if I need to use the heater. So the ability to put it elsewhere in my car is exactly what I needed! The product comes with two metal plates that seem to have a strong magnetization to the mount, so with most phones and cases, there should be a strong hold. It also comes with a clear plastic adhesive so you don't have to attach the metal directly to your phone/case. Now for the downsides. As I mentioned before, the mount adhesive is very strong, so I'm not worried about it detaching from my car while in use; but I am worried about how difficult it will be to remove it if for whatever reason I want/need to remove it from my current car AND is it going to damage my dashboard? I have an iPhone 7 Plus and I use a Mophie battery charging case. This case has a magnetization to it so I didn't have to put the metal piece on my phone or case. I liked this aspect, but the case adds a fair amount of weight to the phone and the mount holds the phone, but doesn't like to hold it in an optimal viewing position (it lowers over time due to the extra weight). This is obviously less than ideal; if the mount position had a little more resistance I'd be more pleased with it. I don't know for sure if a lighter case would do this or not because I haven't tried it. It's also kind of hard to tell if a thicker case would have the ability to magnetize or not, so buyer beware there (and I mean excessively thick... the average case won't have a problem at all with the metal plates provided). These are really the only ups and downs I can think of with this product. Everything else is pretty self-explanatory. I hope this helps some of you out there thinking about this product!

I love this accessory. I’ve been using it for years. I live in the Phoenix, Arizona, area so my car gets really really hot in the summer. But this thing is always secure and never loosens. It is so much easier to be hands free now. I bought two more for my son and daughter.

I had purchase a similar product last Christmas to stuff stockings for my grown children and I decided I needed one. I found this and it is perfect. I use this for my cellphone to display my GPS program. I LOVE IT! The magnet technology really holds GREAT!

This mount works very well. It's so easy to get my phone on and off while I'm driving. I love that I don't have to look at what I'm doing. Just hold it in the general vicinity and the magnet does the rest. Very strong hold - haven't had my phone fall off even once!!

This mount worked very well in my Escalade. It was easy to install and works very well holding the phone in position. It is easily reachable and the phone detaches simply. I am very pleased with this purchase and will buy an additional one for my wife

I was a bit worried about the magnet being strong enough but holds the phone tight even with the plate underneath my phone case. Easy to I stall and quick to use. Otho g to adjust or clamp each time. Just set the phone on the holder and go.
