A treat to own on the switch. I’ve played better beat ‘em ups, but this game is still among the best out there on the switch.

While the retro visuals and killer soundtrack are marvelous, the actual gameplay is fairly standard. It is usually fun, but there's a general lack of polish, perhaps most notably in the difficulty curve, which fluctuates on a near constant basis. While the video game adaptation of Scott Pilgrim is a bit disappointing and certainly doesn't live up to it's full potential, it is still a solid multiplayer beat 'em up title that many are sure to enjoy.

I've never seen the film, nor have I read the comic books, but I've heard nothing but great things about both. This extends to the video game, when it launched as a downloadable title and was sad when it was dropped from digital stores. Sad that I went a decade without able to play the game, at least legitimately. Luckily, the film's 10 year anniversary hit and the game was re-released in both digital and physical releases with all the DLC. Was the wait worth it? Eh, I guess but felt underwhelmed as a whole. The game is in the style of the comics, and follows Scott's adventures of defeating the 7 Evil Exes of Ramona Flowers and must use his prowess to do the deed. The game looks great, with a charming 16-bit era look and sound, and the controls are pretty good and I dig the soundtrack, but the game just felt different than what I expected. It's difficulty is nice, but there's no walkthrough of a training level to explain how to perform different moves or use/buy power ups and health items. I also dislike having to playthrough parts of a level with enemies around just to buy health. But, I still liked the game, but nowhere near as the hype believes it to be.

Scott Pilgrim Vs The World The Game is so nostalgic for me. I remember playing this with my friend back in high school. It has that retro feel that not many games have these days. Love the character and the word they created.

We finally get a physical copy to keep forever without worry. The game plays like I remembered it. If you like beat em up arcade style games like Streets of Rage, Double Dragon, and River City Girls then you'll love this game.

I bought this on a whim and while I'm waiting for River City Girls 2 to come out next year, it gives me the beat-em-up joy that I've been missing. The added DLC is just a cherry on top

Amazing game to have portably on the switch. This game was delisted digitally years ago and back in physical form by popular demand for a time. Buy it now while you still can.

My younger siblings have a Nintendo Switch, and they all play together. I picked them up Streets of Rage 4, a beat em' from a series I enjoyed from the Sega Genesis days, and they loved it. So, when I found out that this game was getting a Nintendo Switch port as well, I picked this up for them.

This is a fun, solid brawler with a cool NED Double Dragon vibe to it. Purchased the digital version, had to own the physical. As with all Limited Run games...physical is king.

This is a side scrolling beat’em up and it’s probably one of the best. The wackiness of Scott Pilgrim is all there in this game. It can get a little hard but you’ll have fun playing it the whole time. The music is the stand out here. I catch myself constantly humming the music.
