If you're looking for a smart, self-aware horror film, then look no further than Scream. The film came out at a time when the horror genre was dying out and it was breath of fresh air, delivering a unique, inventive cinematic experience and is one of the most influencial horror movies ever. Wes Craven does an excellent job in keeping the mystery aura from start to finish and elevating the suspense in every scene, combined with a well-written screenplay by Kevin Williamson that manages to bring a self-referencial commentary on the horror genre while also embracing its tropes. The movie has an amazing cast, with Neve Campbell being perfectly cast as the main protagonist Sidney Prescott, and she's well supported by Courteney Cox, David Arquette and Skeet Ulrich, who are great in their roles. On the downside, there are some stupid character decisions that made no sense and Tatum is probably the only character I didn't care about. Scream manages to bring a new life to an already dying genre and it still holds up after 25 years. You will be on your edge of your seat.

Come on. Its Scream! What hasn't been said of this highly entertaining, self referential, slasher flick? The cast is amazing and the opening is superb. The 4k is sharper and more vivid than I've ever seen. The audio quality is wonderful and the 4k artwork is classic! A must own!

Much better picture quality than I expected without harming the original integrity of the original film picture quality. Has a nice light film grain, colors are much clearer (especially in the darker scenes), and tones of the faces and environments are noticeably more detailed.

It's a great transfer. Good picture quality and a great film. I did get this in a grey blu ray case instead of a black 4k case for some reason but I guess it matches the aesthetic so I won't complain

1996, smack dab in the middle of one of the worst decades for horror cinema, one of its revered masters, Wes Craven, takes apart the slasher flick, pokes fun at its guts AND manages to provide memorable scares. A slew of latter-day slashers sprouted up in the wake of SCREAM's raging box office success, some fun, many stupid. But the public & the film industry were nonetheless reminded of something important: WE LOVE SCARY MOVIES. Originally titled SCARY MOVIE, Craven's movie gave us slashers who grew up watching slashers & a Scooby-Doo plot that's sure to entertain. As a hardcore fan of horror cinema, this gem gave me blood, scares, creeps & a fun, knowing reminder of all the little pieces that add up to a fine, fun freaky movie. With this, the SCARY MOVIE series would never have been born (not the worst thing, maybe) AND the following decade's earnest return to creative, outside-the-lines horror movies most likely would have been stuck at the drawing board.

GREAT CLASSIC HORROR MOVIE AND I SEEN THEM ALL GREAT STORY AND FREAT SUSPENSE

One of the best satires out there. This 4K is freaking amazing! The Picture quality is absolutely superb! It does have the same 5.1 Audio track but it packs more of punch this time around!

I had it on Blu-ray but bought it on find 4K and sending the Blu-ray to my stepmom

Looked pretty good on 4k. This is hands down my favorite slasher. I remember being a kid essentially watching this one at a sleepover.

Scream in 4k is an amazing experience again. The sound puts you back in the 90’s like it was the first time watching. Highly recommend this title.

Always a classic to watch, especially if you haven't seen it for a while. Great in 4K format and the cast is good. A must-have for the collection.

No need to talk about how good this movie is, but the new 4K disc looks and sounds fantastic. A must for any fan. RIP Wes

Classic horror movie from 90’s. Looks so much better in 4k then blu-ray. Definitely would recommend this 4k version over blu-ray.

This is one great horror movie by Wes Craven and it looks and sounds great in 4k . Paramount did a great transfer im impressed.
