As far as Bluetooth controllers are concerned, SCUF is already a well-known brand among gamers. It's grip is more comfortable for long gaming sessions compared to the Backbone One, it's programmable rear buttons can make competitive play easier, the adjustable hall effect buttons are a great touch (and are resistant to stick drift), and it's Bluetooth connection makes it compatible with both Lightning and USB-C iPhones. HOWEVER, it's not without its faults. Unlike Backbone controllers, there's no pass through charging for your phone, devices won't really fit securely (unless it's case-less), it's made solely for iPhones (finicky at best when used with Android), and (my biggest gripe if you're a competitive player) the Bluetooth latency is pretty significant compared to my PS5 controller or physically connected options like Riot or Backbone. What's worse is that since the release of the Backbone Pro, the only advantage that the SCUF Nomad still has is its adjustable hall effect thumb sticks. Otherwise, the new Backbone pro has adopted almost all the same features, but with the added benefit of being able to connect both physically (via USB-C) or wirelessly (via Bluetooth). Even the Backbone Pro has adopted the rear programmable rear paddle buttons that SCUF is known for. I could almost overlook the disadvantages of the Nomad if it wasn't for the seemingly slower response time of the wireless connection provided. Because of that, I prefer the Backbone Pro over this offering from SCUF which falls just short of not quite perfect. FYI I tested this (and other controllers) with both an iPhone 15 Pro Max and iPhone 16 Pro Max.

Much better than razer and backbone’s offerings for ergonomics and especially ease of attaching (don’t have to remove iPhone case!). The only potential downside was that it is charged separately but I have not found that be a problem, though im sure it could be a dealbreaker for other people. I have also not felt any input delay for games I play. This is the one!

One of the best mobile gaming controllers I have used great for traveling ease of use is awesome. There may be a little bit of a lag when playing AAA games but overall good control.

I haven’t use it a lot but one thing I can tell you. The quality of this controller is better than the quality of the Backbone. At least on the way the controller feels. The buttons and the joysticks feel a lot better. The one good thing about the Backbone is the app and they way you get access to the games.

I bought it as a present for my 15 year old grandson. He really liked it. I know he wasn't just saying that as he spent a good part of Christmas afternoon playing with it rather than any of the other activities going on.

Incredible feel to a simple device. I love the look and feel, it adds almost a luxury feeling when playing any game. My wife uses it mostly to play nba2k and I’ve heard no complaints, only praise for it!

Works well and fits an iPhone 16 pro Max with case. I've played Fallout 3 via Xbox Cloud on the iPhone with no latency. Can be a little pricey if not on sale - purchased mine for $69 which seems right.

Returned after a few days. Its a shame, too, as the build quality and design feels and looks great. I would have loved to keep it, but every game i tried was unplayable due to lag. If they revise the controller and make it USB-C instead of forcing bluetooth, I would reconsider.
And thanks for your feedback, sorry to hear about your continued issues. If you repurchase and have anything our team can help with, please don't hesitate contacting them directly right on our site at any time for assistance.

Works great! Although sometimes latency issues with delays.

This controller takes a little getting used to, as it flips the position of the buttons and the stick from inside to out. However, through this method, it feels like a full-size control controller. Bluetooth connection, so it will work with whatever device you have. The back pads are customizable, though they are a little harder to push in my opinion. Controller is weighty, so good for those who likes something substantial.

Good controller with the to pad in the back you can custom, although it’s wireless I wish could of connect to androids also but it’s only for apple products
