Amazing game, lots of beautiful sights. Great combat and fantastic story line

One of the best modern 2D JRPGs I’ve ever played. I’m just blown away by the art style and graphic detail. The gameplay is also among the best and very memorable. This game was made by true fans of classic 16-bit JRPGs and it shows. This is easily one of my top 5 of all time. Definitely can’t recommend this game enough for fans of this genre and style. Bought it on day one release based on other overwhelmingly positive reviews. Cant wait for the sequel.

This game is a great throwback to japanese RPGs on the super Nintendo.

If you love RPGs, don't miss this one! The story is great, the characters are diverse and unique. Don't let the 16-bit graphics fool you, gamers of all walks will enjoy this game because it's not like the RPGs played on the SNES.

Incredible game. I was honestly taken away and transported with this title. They out did themselves, I did not expect this to be one of the best games I've played in recent years but here we are. I highly recommend to anyone who enjoys these types of games.

A modern classic RPG. Tied to “The Messenger” universe, this game tells a fantastic story without trying to woo you with modern graphics, and instead its mechanics and unique art for a modern JRPG-styled game.

Sea of stars, more like lake of stars which is not bad. Good game that's only about 30 hours long. That's great because I don't have a lot of time. I got bills to pay, I got mouths to feed, there ain't nothing in this world for free. Gorgeous visuals, heartfelt writing, and a unique take on battles make this a great retro-inspired RPG. My only knock is that sometimes the genre trope of putting whole dungeons between you and the next story beat made it hard to keep my momentum through it all. Some people will love this, though, and consider it a plus, so consider this well and truly an opinion.
