I recently purchased the Seagate Xbox Series External Memory Card to expand the storage capacity of my Xbox Series X, and I must say it has been a game-changer. As an avid gamer, I often found myself juggling games, deleting old ones to make room for new releases. But thanks to this incredible storage solution, those days are long gone. First and foremost, the installation process was a breeze. The memory card is specifically designed for the Xbox Series X and Series S, so all I had to do was plug it into the dedicated expansion slot on the back of my console. It fit snugly, and I was up and running within seconds. No need for formatting or complicated setup procedures. The storage capacity of the Seagate external memory card is impressive. With a whopping 1TB of additional space, I can now install and store countless games, downloadable content, and updates without worrying about running out of storage. This is especially crucial with the latest generation of games, which tend to be quite large in size. Now I can keep my entire gaming library accessible at all times, providing a seamless experience. What sets this memory card apart from other storage options is its speed. It offers lightning-fast load times and data transfer rates, ensuring that games run smoothly and efficiently. I've noticed a significant improvement in loading screens, with reduced wait times that enhance my gaming sessions. The card seamlessly integrates with the console, and I haven't experienced any performance issues or lag. Durability is also a standout feature of the Seagate memory card. It feels sturdy and well-built, designed to withstand the rigors of everyday gaming. I appreciate this peace of mind, knowing that my valuable game data is safe and secure. The card's compact size is an added bonus, making it easy to transport and carry to a friend's house or gaming event. Although the Seagate Xbox Series External Memory Card comes at a higher price point compared to other storage solutions, it is undoubtedly worth every penny. The level of convenience and reliability it offers is unmatched, and the seamless integration with the Xbox Series X and Series S is a testament to its exceptional design. In conclusion, if you're an Xbox Series X or Series S owner looking to expand your console's storage capacity, the Seagate Xbox Series External Memory Card is a must-have accessory. Its easy installation, ample storage space, lightning-fast speeds, and durability make it an essential investment for any gaming enthusiast. Say goodbye to storage limitations and embrace a limitless gaming experience with the Seagate external memory card.

Great option to expand storage, but a tad pricey given it's a standard micro nvme drive from Seagate. I only paid $137 after applying $90 in gift cards so it didn't break the bank. If I didn't have gift cards I wouldn't have purchased this expanded storage for the price. The main reason why I don't think it's a great value, it cost as much as Samsung 980 pro and WD Black 850SN models which are twice as fast. This drive should be more less $170 tops. In terms of performance it's every bit as fast as my internal drive on my XSX, and it's simple to connect, just takes seconds and it's ready. Unlike Youtubers this card has never felt hot, neither has the XSX so that's plus knowing heat reduces electronic life span.

I enjoy the ease of use: easier to plug in than a usb? Truth be told: Im bothered by the high price point and proprietary nature. I could definitely get past the proprietary aspect, considering it being specifically manufactured for the xbox is part of the convenience. But the unreasonable price per terabyte makes this hard to excuse. After several pro consumer moves, this is definitely a step backwards from Microsoft. Of course, it does perform. No noticable difference in operation between internal and external. Data transfers back and forth very fast, with exception to any data coming from a HDD. Once its on the expansion though, it flys.

The Seagate 1TB Storage Expansion Card is a must-have for anyone with an Xbox Series X|S. With the growing size of game installs, this expansion is a lifesaver. Good Points: Seamless Performance: The expansion card works exactly like the internal storage, providing lightning-fast load times and no lag when playing games directly from it. It’s as if the storage is built into the console itself. Plug-and-Play Simplicity: Setting it up was incredibly easy—just plug it in, and you're ready to go. No complicated setup or downloads, making it ideal for those who don’t want to waste time. Area for Improvement: Pricey for Storage: While the performance is great, the price per gigabyte is on the higher end compared to traditional external SSDs. It’s a premium for seamless integration with the Xbox ecosystem, but it may not be the best value for everyone. Overall, the Seagate Storage Expansion Card is a fantastic solution for Xbox gamers who need more space without compromising performance, though the price may be a consideration for some

Extremely easy to use. You make sure you have the latest Xbox update. Then you literally plug it in and that’s it. No menu screens, or set up. It reads the memory automatically and you are able to download more games asap. In case people are wondering this will add 1tb to your Xbox. So if you have a series S like me, you will essentially have 1.5 tb (1.2tb realistically). The only downside is it is overpriced. It you can debate its reasons due to its quick speed and for being an SSD

Works well, fast storage for xbox games and you can take them with you to a friends house if you want to play your games away from your console. Plug and play, doesn't get any easier. A little pricey but you pay for the ease of use, you don't have to break open your console to install it like on a PS5 and it's portable. Just wait for it to be on sale, which it is often now, usually $149 or less.

When these first came out I was really upset that Microsoft was back to proprietary accessories for the xbox and it was way overpriced for a long time but now that there is some competition and prices have dropped significantly this is a must have for any xbox. It is dead simple to use, just plug it in and it is ready to go. It is fast and runs games perfectly, as it was designed to do and instantly gives signficant boost to storage. NO more juggling storage between usb and internal! For my series X, I wouldn't go less than 1 tb, but for series s, I've been content with a cheaper 512 gb.

The expansion card itself is great. It provided much-needed space for my XB Series S since I am a habitual digital game hoarder. It is quite compact and fits well in the slot in the back of the device. The console recognizes it immediately. Being an NVMe SSD, content can be transferred fast and almost seamlessly to it. I love that, unlike the SSD I have been using, I noticed no lag or extended loading. Of course, this is miles faster than an HDD, which I had also used. My only gripe, of course, is pricing. It took significant consideration in buying an accessory that costs more than two-thirds of the device itself. I personally think this is egregious and somewhat felt cornered into buying it. Having said this, it's difficult to argue that it's not a necessity, and once you get it, the price paid starts to fade into the background. Would I recommend it? Probably not -unless you are like me and download games to have them ready to go at any time, without the long loading times. In this case, save up and go get it!

Not much to say here. It's a memory card and works as advertised. It's pricey but all new hardware, especially memory is expensive for the first 2 or 3 years. For YEARS a 1tb SSD from Samsung or Crucial was over $600 it's only in the last few years the price dropped and more storage options became available. What I love about this is, its simple, elegant and easy. Just pop it into your Series X and you are ready to go. People like to rag on people who don't want to have to open consoles to install memory. But honestly, I think one of the things I don't like about the PS5 is the fact that you have to open it open it up to install memory. I'm a CONSOLE gamer for a reason, I don't have the patience to fuss around with hardware anymore and I also have a bad wrist. I know I would probably break my PS5 (if I ever get one) just taking off the fins - and I manually upgraded my PS4 Pro, so it isn't like I don't know how to do it, I just don't like to. The other bonus here is, it actually is EXPANDED memory. Meaning I'm not replacing my existing internal memory. So if you replace the memory in the PS5 (if Sony even adds that functionality anytime soon), you aren't gaining anything. Memory that's compatible with the PS5 currently is $230 for a 1 TB drive, unfortunately, you aren't getting an EXTRA 1TB for that price because you have to use that 1TB card to replace the existing one. So in reality you are paying MORE for a lot less. So instead of have the stock 860 Memory Card you have the 1TB. That's a pointless upgrade, there are 2TB NVME Cards but those are over $400. This kind of puts the form, ease and price value of the Seagate card into clearer perspective. I really hope Sony comes up with a Solution. Gaming is an expensive HOBBY, you are already spending $500 on a console, plus hopefully you have a nice TV to take advantage, what's another $200 to additional storage? I didn't mean for this to become a PS vs. Xbox thing. Just trying to put the cost vs. value proposition into context.

For anyone buying this as a gift for the gamer you know, this will allow you to play games directly from storage. If you go a cheaper route and buy a external hard drive you will still be able to store games on it, but have to transfer them to the console to play. Its small, convenient, has a dedicated slot on the Xbox, and can also be hot swapped. Meaning if you have multiple you can unplug one and pop another in seamlessly. There is also no setup required. Plug it in, give it a second and its ready to go. A brief message appears to let you know it was detected. The compact size also makes it really easy to take with you to a friends house or anywhere. Comes with a clear case to protect the contact end as well. I have multiple ones now and have no complaints.

With games getting ever larger by the day, supplemental storage is a must. This NVMe drive is lightning fast and feels like 2TB of native internal rather than 1TB of added storage. It plugs into a port on the back of the console super-easy and takes no extra space like an external drive. It’s a little costly but worth it if you have a large game library and like to play different games regularly.

The pros: Easy to install, just press into place. Instant space increase. Can play Series X/S optimized games from this drive. The Cons: Price, too high for what you could get if they didn't lock it to a single vendor. I bought a 1 TB version on sale, and it was still more expensive than a 2 TB western digital SN850X I picked up for my home computer and for the PS5. All in all the performance is good but the drives are still too expensive.

Honestly, this Seagate 1TB Expansion Card is a game-changer. Plug it in and boom—you’ve instantly got way more space without messing with settings or slow drives. Games load just as fast as the internal SSD, Quick Resume works perfectly, and I don’t have to keep deleting stuff every time a new game drops. Super small, super easy, and honestly feels like it should’ve come with the Xbox from the start. Yeah, it’s a little pricey, but totally worth it for the convenience and peace of mind.

For people who enjoy complex Xbox games with lots of extra content, no matter which Xbox you buy it won't have enough storage space built in, thus the market for these expansion cards. Games which were bought for the xbox One and back-compatible games from Xbox 360 can be stored and run from external hard drives, but games designed for these new series of Xbox consoles can't run from them. Using some proprietary technology, Microsoft has managed to make these expansion cartridges an integral part of the Xbox so users never have to know where any games are stored -- they'll always work great. However, when a 1TB SSD external or internal drive can be bought for $80 or $90 there's no reason on earth other than corporate greed that these expansion cards cost close to $190-$200 for 1TB and well over $300 for 2TB capacity!

The only con for this expansion card is the cost, it is otherwise perfect. It offers a robust 1 TB of storage with the same speed as the internal NVMe drive, plus it is very easy to install. Just insert it into the slot on the back of your Series S or Series X and you are all set. Buy with confidence!

My friends and I have been hopping around playing all kinds of games the past few months, and as so many of them take up so much space (ARK, Warzone, Destiny 2, and Red Dead Redemption) I got sick of uninstalling and downloading games to make room for everything. This worked perfectly allowing me to add so many new games that now I can easily flip to what we are gonna to rock for the night instead of having to prep for it earlier in the day. Works seamlessly with Quickplay, super easy startup where you just plug and go, and the Xbox is set up to let you choose which games get downloaded to which setup so easily. I think it's worth every penny. I have had it for months now and everything has been fantastic.
