Backup Plus Hub 10TB External USB 3.0 Desktop Hard Drive was a new addition to my pc allowing for a larger size files to be backed up. I turn it on and off as needed which provides longer life of the Drive. I also notice that these new drives automatically go into sleep mode when left on without being used - great feature! This Seagate drive is a favorite brand that has worked very well me for many years. I would highly recommend this drive to anyone who wants to protect any pc files they want to keep safe.

I've had this for a few months now and its great so far. Use it to store my digital movies on here. It has a decently fast transfer rate. On occasion it does get a little noisy. Nothing that really bothers me.. more like a laptop fan noise. The front USB adapters are an excellent way to transfer directly without having to plug in the back of your computer or having to run additional USB extenders. Probably my favorite feature and one of the reasons why i purchased this Hard Drive over others. Easy to use, comes ready to plug and play.

Awesome, just awesome. I've had three or four WD products, and they didn't compare to this Seagate External. It is fast, efficient and so far, very trustworthy. It also comes with a lost data retriever and a very reliable installer. Really happy with this external (and at 10T, I shouldn't have any issues with storing photos). I can charge my iPhone and iPad at the same time, so less cords, less hassle.

Upgrade from the 6TB version, which was a great device. Excellent desktop companion and the usb drives not only can be used for the computer but are powered to charge other devices. Does have some occasional noise but not a big deal for me.

Terrific for storage and/or backups (I use the drive for both) and can stand vertically or horizontally. Hub ports can be used to daisy chain or for charging 1.5 amp/5 volts

Owned the previous Gen 4 TB for about 4 or 5 years now and still hasn't failed, This Gen 10 TB is the same size and a bit faster response time when Connecting to Laptop. If You are on a budget I would suggest grabbing this hard drive to Cold Store Your files.

    Great drive, but LOUD

I've had this drive for a little over a month now, I got it for my Xbox since backwards compatibility, game pass, 10 years of games with gold, AND being a digital hoarder on top of all that I needed some SPACE. So far this thing is fast, reliable, and super easy to use with the Series X. So far my one complaint, is how LOUD this thing is. At first when I was transferring games to it and downloading updates I noticed it, but I dismissed it as it's working HARD, this is a lot of TB I'm throwing at it at once. But this thing doesn't stop spinning ever (I mean it does, but honestly sometimes it feels like it never ends.) I have it set up near the monolith that is the XBSX on a wooden surface, behind a door next to the TV and have since added TWO pads underneath it to dampen the sounds (I have blocked no vents) and I'm still worried I'm gonna get knocks on my door from neighbors complaining about my army of mini Dutch cloggers in the walls. Maybe it's because the Xbox is constantly looking for updates, I don't know, but even when the Xbox is off it'll click on and knock around for up to 10 minutes. It's so loud I can hear it over the TV sometimes, it's insane. Maybe this is some weird quirk with Xboxes and it only reads at one speed, FAST, but I don't need 8 million rpms when the Xbox is off and it's updating in the background. The other seagate drives I've used (the smaller ones) were never this loud and I don't know if they ever spun as much, but maybe they did and I didn't hear it because it was quiet. That's literally the only reason to dock it 2 stars, everything else so far has been amazing. Just be aware, If you're using this with an Xbox get ready to find a good ear doctor.

This drive was such a a good deal. It is pretty big storage wise at 10TB so it holds all of my XBOX, 360m, and One games since it is compatible with XBOX one. I think it will also be good for XBOX series X for backward compatible games. It is silent and fast as a magnetic drive can.

    Excellent Back-up Drive for Mac

I partitioned this very large drive to serve as a 6GB HFS+ Time Machine drive and a 4GB APFS formatted drive to store other files. It took some time to move 1GB of files to the APFS drive and the first Time Machine back-up took overnight. After that, the back-up process happens frequently in the background and is flawless. There is a slight drive noise, but it's not bad. You can dim the drive light if you want to by downloading a simple Seagate utility for the drive. Very happy I purchased this drive. It is not a networked drive, and cannot serve as a NAS, but that's okay by me. The Seagate literature comes with a Cloud option, but I'm not sure that is available from them anymore. I's check their website before you purchase this drive for cloud use.

I had thought my previous external drive (another manufacturer) was doing differential backups but was doing full backups. My drive filled up quickly. Then I found this drive which does them and also does a "continuous" backup. It has been working flawlessly since I installed it. I will probably be getting a second one not for backups but to store my large files from my desktop.

This is a small unit that does accommodate two other external drives plugged into it. I have this unit plugged into the 3.0 USB port of my router. This enables this unit, along with the two WD 4TB, to act like a NAS (Network Attached Storage). My TP-Link router had no issues seeing the full capacity of any of the attached drives.
