It does not come with a lot of instructions and caused a couple issues that were fixed just by rebooting my computer. Once I figured it out everything seems to be OK.

Seems to have ample storage, however it did not come with adequate instruction on how to install so I am still struggling with that issue. It seems to be operating okay but I am not sure?

Plugged this device into my computer, followed all instructions... didn't work. Went to bed, next day I turned it on and my computer didn't work. Had to go to geek squad and spend 300 to format hard drive... no problems what so ever before with computer until this device

Took apart to use as hard drive for PS4. Cheaper then buying an actual 2TB hard drive just requires a little more instructions when installing/taking apart but works fine so far. Placed old PS4 hard drive in the case and still have a working external hard drive.

This is probably the cheapest 2TB Hard drive to get that is realiable, please keep in mind that it's best to format this hard drive to FAT 32 for the PS4, when using it the first time there are videos on YouTube that will do step by step instructions to help you with this process and installation is really easy when done formatting the hard drive. All in all this hard drive saved me a bunch of money vs buying a bare bones hard drive which cost more for some reason. If your a PS4 user remember format to FAT 32 and be gentle when opening up the casing of this hard drive also the moment you open this warranty is voided so like I said be gental and enjoy the expanded space

    Solid External Storage Solution!

Great value for external storage solution in the terabyte+ category...2TB for $70. Great flexibility in being able to use drive for Windows and Mac based PC's....I haven't tested it, but I believe this can be done simultaneously which is great in my household where wife is a Mac/Apple girl and I'm Windows/Android. Product doesn't get 5 stars due to "clunky" installation/set-up instructions, not real user friendly as you are back and forth between limited paper instructions provided and on-line instructions.

I bought this after my old hard drive crashed after a couple years, I use this to back up my iTunes since the files are too large for the computer to store it. The main issue is it doesn't give simple instructions for install, it seemed like it didn't install since it sent me into a loop with downloading it but it worked. Some reason I can't see it on my computer that well, I had to use a back door way to disconnect it from the computer.

I am unable to save my data to this unit. Can't seem to transfer items after reading the instructions several times. Needs to have clear, straight forward guidelines.

This product does not work with Mac and it does not come with instructions. The instructions online are not terribly helpful. This product is not Mac-user friendly. After an hour of trying to get it to work, I gave up. I returned the Seagate and got a WD (Western Digital for Mac), which cost a little more, but I had the WD working in 5 minutes. I've already backed up all of my files! So far, so good with WD. I don't recommend Seagate.

It was a good price has a ton of storage. One downside is it took over 5 hours to download what I had and I don't have much. It also didn't come with very good instructions. Also there's no way to really tell if it actually put the stuff onto the harddrive or not.

I installed the product and software exactly per the directions. The external drive appeared on the desktop. The instructions directed a computer restart; after the restart, the drive could not be located or accessed. Took it to Best Buy, the Geek Squad had the same issue. Went back to what I should have purchased originally, a WD, similar to what I had prior, only a large drive for storage.

Great drive but instructions were unclear. Not sure if it was a quirk of MS10 or the drive itself (I'm guessing MS10). I was forced to use it and a backup and restore for my college student. I prefer to have the ability to use it as external storage and backup the files I deem critical. I couldn't find a way to change that - will try over Christmas Holiday.

I have been using this to back up my iMac, store my huge collection of photos for the past few months, and so far very happy with it. Set up was very simple for my iMac. I end up buying a second one to back up my MacBook Pro. Also because of the size, it is very portable. The only downside is there is no manual to set it up and what to do afterwards. I had to look it up on YouTube.

    The good and the bad

Good: it's small, metal and fast. Bad: I bought this hard drive because I had a PC but then bought a MAC, I needed a hard drive that would work for both systems but not have to be reformatted to transfer data. This hard drive states that you do not have to reformat to use between these computers. I spent 3 hours on the phone with tech support because my PC, even after downloading all the software and following step by step instructions, would not recondnize the hard drive. I had to change settings in the computer that are meant for an expert. Still it would not work. The reason being, these hard drives are specifically formatted for MAC, the PC won't even acknowledge them without REFORMATTING for a PC specifically. . Which if you had any data from your MAC loaded it will be deleted. Mind you that they have hard drives labeled specifically formatted for MAC. . This harddrive is the one that specifically states for easy use between PC and MAC with no reformatting. Then you will be told you cannot use the software which is included, you have to drag and drop, which is easy but defeats the purpose of including software for the specific harddrive that is set up for easy use between PC and MAC. Lastly, there are no set up instructions included which inform you that you will need to go into the Internet to get the actual software for the hardware. End result: It does what I need it to do, and it's fast. But I nearly returned the thing because it took 3 hours to make it functional. I know my way around a computer and am quick with them, but tech support literally had me changing code in the computer operating system.
