This is probably my 10th or 12th external seagate slim. Works awesome in keeping my GoPro video files and my iphone photos.

Very small and reliable. No problems at all after a year, unlike my Samsung T5 SSD that periodically unmounts itself :(

This Backup Plus Slim 2TB from Seagate works great. It is small, lightweight, packs easily for transporting, and has a terrific amount of storage for the price (especially if on sale). If you are more satisfied with capacity than speed (compared to a SSD) then this is the way to go.

Holds all my pictures. Perfect amount of space and easily adaptable to computers or TVs.

Seagate is a good storage drive. This one is compact and good for moving files from one place to another and storing what I dont want taking up computer storage.

I have always used Seagate external USB drives for years now. They have never let me down for when backing up my data. This latest light Plus Slim is yet another Great drive by them. I will for sure continue using Seagate USB drives.

This Seagate 2 TB is thin, light and it's light blue color is good looking.

I have an older Seagate backup drive that used Memeo backup software that stopped working, so I deinstalled Memeo and installed Seagates newer software, Toolkit. I was pleasantly surprised when it worked perfectly with my old drive. I purchased this Seagate drive and it was easy to install so now I have two backups that are managed by one Toolkit app. Great!

I bought this to extend the memory of my PS4, so far it’s doing exactly what it was intended for. Just know there’s a 8TB limit on external memory for PlayStation. Other than that this hard drive is awesome, system recognized it and formatted it all on its own, just plug and go.

No complaints so far. It is sleek and decently priced. Just using it for extra storage (yes i know i'm old school, but i prefer to have "hard" copies physically accessible as opposed to storage in a cloud or on someone else's servers. Delivery took FOREVER though.

I purchased this hard drive as a Time Machine for my mac desktop. It is a small piece with enough storage capability. Color a little bit too shiny. Working well and affordable.

I needed a external hard drive for my design files since they take up so much space. As a college student, it works perfectly for a temporary hard drive. I will purchase a bigger hard drive as I get more into my career path, but this is perfect for right now!

In general, I have been happy with this unit. It is small, has adequate storage space, it is easy to plug and go, and it was available at a fair price. The only downside is that, if it does a back-up cycle (using Toolkit software) while I am doing other work on the computer, it has the tendency to suck up CPU and memory space and it will freeze up my computer. I now accommodate this by running the unit at night and unplugging it during the day, so that there is no competition. Not a perfect plan, but good enough while I investigate ways to expand the capability of my computer.

I got on Amazon today to purchase another one of these and just started looking through the reviews again before I made my purchase. After reading some of the negative reviews I thought that I should at least leave what my experience has been with these. I have two of these (2TB) versions with the oldest being purchased in Jan 2016. The oldest one runs every single day as my MacPro time machine back up, as well as storing and running numerous recording studio music files. I run those studio files directly from the external hard drive pretty much every day. The second was purchased Feb 2016 and that one travels in my briefcase every weekend to record live bands with my laptop (Macbook Pro) and is also that laptop's Time Machine back up disk. Both of these are still running strong with zero problems after nearly three years of working them hard. Maybe I've just been lucky, but I can't find a good reason not to stick with what has worked so well for me after years of constant use. I plan to buy the 4TB this time and hope to get the same reliability that i've had with the two that I'm still using. For what I have been using them for I have been extremely happy, and they have been well worth what I paid for them.
