I was super excited to use this USB C portable drive from Seagate. The Seagate Backup Plus Ultra touch is super lightweight drive with a woven fabric outer shell (top of the drive only) making it look a little classier with your laptop. Setup is easy, plug in and ready to go. The drive is USB 3.0 compatible and connects via USB A or USB C (there's an attachment for the cable). There is a BIG difference using USB A vs USB C. I LOVE that it's USB C, especially as I have a laptop that only has USB C ports and it's nice to see Seagate cater for the USB C future. Recommended.

As I remember it was a bit tricky to set up. I keep it 'unlocked' most of the time but get messages that 'backup failed' due to some file. But, it doesn't say what file is causing the error. Thru trial and error I sense that if I have Word file open then the backup will fail. I have checked the backed up files and they all seem to be there. However, I have not had the need to Restore the files - and assume it will work. I have to manually backup my Quicken files

This plugged right in and was recognized by our macbook so we could begin uploading and saving all our photos and videos of our kids. Works great for the value price.

Backed up my pc no problem. Plugged it in loaded the software and followed the prompts. It was pretty quick also.

Small and fast, works as expected. Have not tested speeds on using the usb-c dongle, but works well for both laptop and desktop setups.

This hard drive is being used to back up my Mac during the pandemic. The hard drive comes with a USB to USB-C adapter to connect to newer computers.

Nice size portable drive, it is smaller than my hand and I wear a small-medium size glove. Out of the box, it is nicely made feels expensive and the one part has a cloth textured feel which gives it a cool stylish look and feel. Easily fits in my bag and even a small cross body bag, so I have all my pics and music readily available. This drive very simple to set up, and quite fast. I have a MacBook Pro and this was very easy to set up, basically a plug and play. I was able to back up 128GB of data in less than an hour. The install application on the drive for Mac walked me through product registration and gets you set up with the Adobe and applications. Once installed it operates like any other drive. So differentiating this drive is the appearance, it's casually elegant and the fabric top makes it look interesting. Bottom line, a good drive that supports speeds sufficient to stream HD media, is very portable, and looks graceful while working. A good drive.

This is going to be a life saver!! After my hard drive crashed I had to pay for data recovery. Now I have my photos back I’m making sure I have them all on a backup drive!
