if u want to increase storage buy it, it a no brainer movie. but it doesn't came with the sata cable which needed to connect to the motherboard to work.

This hard drive is great for storage. If you have many games this would be the hard drive to purchase. The price and quality are excellent.

I thought this hard drive failed after dual-booting Windows 10 & Ubuntu. It was running beautifully with Windows, as expected. Then I installed Linux but did something wrong partitioning. Trying to start over by reformatting everything led to more failures. I blamed the drive and returned it. It really looked like drive failure! Jeez. Samed thing then happened on an old drive that I grabbed as an alternative. Linux forums were of no help... Long story short, I just let a Linux system install on its own, overwriting everything, and voila, perfect. I still don't know what was wrong, but it most definitely was not the drive. Poor drive. I feel guilt as #@^*!

Awesome storage hasnt given me any problems but its just a bit loud when it runs which is expected with a mechanical drive.

It's everything you would expect. It works, and makes lovely HDD sounds.

Bought this as a replacement to a dying HDD in my prebuilt gaming PC. It works fantastically and the extra TB compared to my old 1TB is very nice. Great price too!

Needed extra space and was going to get another 1 TB drive, but the price of the 2 TB drive was close. With my reward points I got more extra space and a very good price. Performs as expected.

I use this hard drive for putting the majority of my Steam library in, and it's been holding up so far! The load times are pretty snappy, and the drive stays quiet even under load.

I put this 2 TB internal hard drive in my Windows 10 Desktop computer, and formatted this hard drive as an extra hard drive. After several days of use I decided that I would instead use this 2 TB hard drive with my Windows 7 Ultimate Desktop computer as an extra hard drive, reformatting it again with Windows 7. I have had NO problems with the Barracuda 2 TB Internal hard drive, works great. No buyers remorse here.

Great drives for desk top computers at a very reasonable price. Cheap enough to set up in a RAID configuration so that you will not lose up data.

Shopping first to get prices and in-store availability was great! Stephen Combs, the sales assistant was very understanding about a crashed computer! ( my irritation with Microsoft updates was evident...) Later that day I returned to buy the hard drive, and sales assistant Gabriella Murr was fast, efficient, and cheerful ! I recommend a raise and bonus for both! Also - I have purchased 2 8 TB drives for the AI work I am doing... Great service! In-store devices are a MUST when a computer has crashed, since it means that the computer cannot access the internet!

Good drive for additional storage. Easy install assuming you have all the cables. Closely look at the model numbers at the Seagate website and what you are buying so as to make sure you get what you want. There is a slight difference between the 2 year and 5 year warranted drive in the performance area. Price difference as well. Be aware that you may have to "initialize" the disk for Windows to use it. Took me a bit to figure that out. Overall I'm pleased.

I have always gotten dependable service with Seagate hard drives. Over a period of 8 years and building desktop PCs for my family here and in Alabama out of more than 12 drives purchased during that 8 years I only had issues with 2. Seagate replaced them under warranty in short order. Other brands ran 30% or higher failures. 2 problem drives out of more than 12 in 8 years speaks volumes about the quality and dependability of their drives. We have 4 home computers all with 2 or more hard drives in them now running Windows OSs from Windows 10 back to a couple of legacy build PCs running Windows 95 OSR 2.5, Windows 98 SE, Windows XP and Windows 7. All are running Seagate drives. 2 drives each in the Windows 95 and 98 PCs and 3 each in the XP and Win7 PCs. My Windows 10 Pro is running 4 Seagate drives. A 2GB system and 3 X 4GB program/game drives. I will continue using Seagate HDs until they stop making them or their quality drops below my standards. No sign of that happening any time soon.

I purchased two Seagate - Barracuda 2 TB (7200 RPM) drives for backing up data from my main workstation. The drives are excellent for the price and the have performed as expected.

I remember paying much more for a 5400 rpm dive a couple of years ago so this was a no brainer for storage and keep the SSD for OS and apps. All I use is Seagate.

So far so good. I've only had the drive for a few weeks. I replaced a similar Seagate Barracuda 1TB that I used as an external drive for my Mac. The new one works. Time will tell if it remains reliable.

Seems to do it job fine, enjoyed the extra space, pretty simple to install. Instructions were not great. Must provide your own screws.
