purchased it on accident looking for a replacement for my laptop. it was easy to return

HDD for drobo it worked as it was supposed to speed and capacity are spot on

This drive is incredibly slow and inconsistent. I bought it for extra space for games and movies and it takes hours to transfer or download because of how bad the write speed is. it advertises 190mbs but you'll be lucky to hit over 20mbs

Installed it once it arrived and on first boot up all I heard from this drive was a clicking and beeping noise repeatedly. Drive didnt even show up in explorer. Will be returning and finding another brand from here on out.

Lasted me less than one year. I purchased this disk due to my previous disk lasting me 2.5yrs. This one lasted me far far less.

Seagate Hard drive failed after only 45 days of use what a waste of money worse than western digital

The hard drive arrived defective, and when I connected it to my pc, it was making a weird noise.

It work great for a few months then it died on me. Thankfully still under warranty through seagate.

bad quality, a couple of weeks in use and is already showing damaged sectors.

Had unit mounted in an external dock and it failed in 3 weeks

The hard drive is a good value for providing 4tb of hard drive space. Very easy to install and format.

I'v been using Seagate drives for a long time in business and academia (research). It is very quiet and minds it's own business. It does an extraordinary job of signaling a problem and maintaining data integrity. Although the drive is 5400 RPM's, it makes up for with the larger 256MB cache size for excellent. The 6.0 Gb/s transfer rate is very good. I would tell anyone that for the money, it beats others in it's class.

Super easy to use and connect, best life saver for space

I have 4 types of drives in my system, NVME SSDs, Sata SSDs, and 7200 RPM drives and now a 5400 RPM drive that is this one. I honestly don't see much of a clear performance gap between the spinning hard drives if I am totally honest. In fact outside of loading games or moving very large files like movies there is very little that separates this from my WD black NVMe SSD. It is much slower, but for many applications you just don't notice it, for example when I use Davinci Resolve and some of my media is on this drive it doesn't slow my project down at least it doesn't make it obvious is if does

My 12-year-old ACER Predator was dying. It was taking forever to start up with "no drive detected" failures. The ACER had a 2 TB Seagate HDD with a spare drive tray, I plugged in the Barracuda, cloned the original HDD using the Seagate app. My ACER now starts up in seconds.

Everything worked as expected, pickup process had no hiccups.

Really good for storage. Didnt look at the rpm but it works perfect for me
