I was looking for more storage for my music and videos. This hd is selling for the same price as the 4gb that I bought a couple of years ago. It works well with my 1tb SSD Barracuda.

using it as external drive for my laptop along with Insignia 2-Bay HDD docking station, slower read/write but do the job in less cost

I appreciate the low cost and the quality of the item. Doesnt feel like cheap equipment

Really not bad for the price. The speeds weren't mind blowingly fast but that's normal for a HDD. We were able to move 4TB of data over in about 2-4 hours.

First rate gear. For years our company relied on Seagate drives, with perfect performance. Then we became vendors to Seagate and the appreciation grew stronger: great people, strong ethos, amazing science, and products that keep customers humming year on year.

It’s a desktop hard drive. It works as intended, though it’s much faster than I had anticipated. Best used as a secondary drive for storing large files like video games.

Good cheap second drive for storing a lot of data for a price that's as low as others. But I like the option to use PayPal on the website ordering and it was delivered free. Pretty convenient and easy to use ordering process. Arrived in two days

Bought a pair of these to use in a home server in a RAID configuration. They were easy to install and the system recognized them and I was able to easily set up the mirrored configuration so I have some redundancy in my server. So far so good. Recommended.

Wasn't working being directly connected to computer with USB C cable and port. Had to use a USB A extension. Working properly now. Discounted price helped make the buying decision.

One of the best options for bulk storage at the price. If you have drive docks, you can swap these out. Great for backups.

It IS NOT fast. Obviously but for having a storage drive it works like wonders so far. Bout 100mb/s max but it does work. Does store and does what i want it to do. No failers so far after 2 months.

Seagate has always been reliable when it comes to their HDDs.

As a student I had no choice but to make the purchase and i dont regret it one bit is working just fine. Is what i was looking for in a HDD.

I had to install Windows 7-64bit using UEFI/EFI rather than legacy support in order to format drives to full 8gb partition. After that it works fine and now have a larger data and backup drive in my PC.

Excellent so far, but I am partial to Seagate as their drives have yet to let me down, spins right up, have it currently working inside of a UnRaid server.
