Built in software does not backup external hard drives. I bought acronis But the external hd performs as expected

I use this to my built in desktop to as an extension storage but it slows down my computer

Have had this machine for a few weeks. So far, it has performed superbly. So quiet and responsive. I’m very satisfied.

My Mac won't even recognize it. Although my older laptop does.

So far so good. Really, I should post a review after a few years. Regardless, so far so good.

I wish I could rate lower. This is a really poor quality product. The item fell a few inches from the ground and stopped working. It was it was brand new. I sent it back to Seagate because of the warranty and they returned it as just the exoskeleton and ut can't be refunded due to being opened. Do not buy the product it is very poor quality and the company Seagate has very poor service and communication. They are scammers.

So far it's working as expected. No problems transferring data through the USB port. Now have plenty of room for photos.

Works Excellent... No problems at all lately with this External HDD!

My external HDD died after 3 months and does not power on. Warranty requires sending the old drive back so if you have sensitive account info or files with social security numbers, etc, make sure you encrypt your drive as you won't be able to wipe it before sending the drive back. I wish a warranty was offered where you could warranty it without sending the drive back but that option does not exist.

Stopped working after 2 moths of purchase not a good product for purchase

Seagate External hard drives are what I use for every single computer!

Purchased to use as a backup drive. Plenty of room with fast access time

I got this for my son for Christmas and it's already broken. Fortunately I have total tech support and Best Buy is pretty great about their customer service, at least that's been my experience.

Worst product ever. I would say do not order this and do not buy it from here. I would suggest to buy it from somewhere else.

Six months after purchase and the drive up and died. It doesn't turn on at all. No power, no response, nothing. So - that was money well spent?

I would not recommend this drive. It won't turn on. Unfortunately, I didn't try it immediately, and didn't notice the defect till past the date to return. I don't know if the drive was originally defective or if it was thrown around during delivery. Very disappointed.

The 1st one I got was DOA. Hopefully the 2nd actually works. Don’t know if I would recommend because I haven’t got the 2nd one yet. Time will tell

Product was not received on time even though the shipper had it in their posession for over 24 hours. Poor service. Other than that, this drives read and write speeds are extremely slow. I would not purchase again.

Ridiculous - drive failed after just 2 months. Not sure what is going on with Seagate quality as of late.

I installed this drive then deleted all the "extra junk" included on the drive. Totally empty, the size shows 12.7 Terabytes. I reformatted the drive just in case and still only have 12.7 Terabytes available. This is not a 14 terabyte drive. DO NOT PURCHASE.
