    This is a good hard drive that delivers on its advertised space — it's close enough to 14 terabytes — but it does create quite a bit of noise if placed on a hard surface. Putting a small plush washcloth or towel underneath it helps dampen the noise. Also, if using with Plex, it takes a few seconds to spin up from its "sleep" state, which can make Plex run a little slower compared to streaming services. That said, it works fine for me.

    I have relied on Seagate devices to store my precious data. So, when I needed more space to back up my primary drives, getting a new Seagate external memory was a no brainer. At 16T it easily backs up the primary drives for photos and data with lots of room to grow. I've never had to use their "data recovery" but always nice to know it is there if needed. Performance has been as expected.

    Good bang for buck if you have a little more financial wiggle room. Slightly bulky, but that is to be expected. Housing build quality feels a little less solid compared to previous generations. But ultimately we care about the hardware inside.

    Got it at a great price, it's affevtively just storage for alll my work, it's slow, idk a ton about read write speeds but, I just dropped some nve ssd's on my computers and, now I understand the difference between backup storage and, a giant lightning fast HD.
